King Kong – Howard Shore’s rejected score

I saw this mentioned in a previous posting and must have missed it! Does anyone have it – I’d be curious to hear it!

I **think** it was determined to be a fake. A mish-mash of several scores.

I only have 6 tracks found in the internet credited as Shore’s rejected cues.

Shore’s rejected score of King Kong has never been leaked.
The one that’s been floating around with 6 tracks is a fake. It consists of music from ‘Primeval’ by John Frizzell.

Yeah, bummer about the Frizzell deception.
I guess that means that no one has ever yet found the Actual rejected score right? There’s a behind-the-scenes video of the recording sessions of Shore’s music… so clearly at least Some of it was recorded, if not all….. so you’d think this music should appear Somewhere eventually… and if so, i would LOVE to hear it.

Wow. I never knew that. I always thought that wasn’t Shore’s style anyway when I heard them…
