Last night I downloaded Gundam Seed Battle Assault for GBA just for fun and WOW the music is awesome. Not being able to find the ripped gsf anywhere online, I ripped them myself with Visualboy.
Spent about 3 or 4 hours today recording, converting, cutting, fading, and tagging every track I found in the game which of course required losing and completing the game to hear every track. Thank god they had a disable sound option! I double checked each track to make sure they’re consistent and professional sounding, but if I missed something or you hear something wrong like random sound effects let me know. Until then, enjoy!
I named the tracks with my gut and also based the numbers from the stage select in vs mode.
Note: some tracks with heavy bass produce a distorted cackling sound (Atmosphere, Onogoro Isle, Desert Region, Research Lab, which I couldn’t workaround, but if you’re a fan of GBA music anyway I’m sure you won’t mind.
Also, the Demo and Title bgms sound the best because I used rom2gsf to rip those. The sound effects in the demo can’t be removed, but I think it’s a nice touch.
Aube Base was the song that got me hooked on this game. I hope everyone plays this game sometime! Lots of infinites here and there that make the game fun.

This guy recorded straight from a gba I believe, you will find the songs a bit slower in tempo and missing some instruments, but still great sounding. So enjoy whichever version you like, more power to you! 🙂

Is this by Toshihiko Sahashi, the guy who did the music for Gundam SEED, or is it someone else. (And if so, who?)

Noriko Fujimura
Iku Mizutani
Tetsuari Watanabe
The problem is that the credit "sound" could also mean sound effects or sound editor. I can confirm Iku Mizutani as a composer. I cannot confirm by way of a Japanese source that either of the other two actually compose music. Some American sources list Tesuari Watanabe as a composer, however the only complete Japanese credit for him designates him as a sound designer and Noriko Fujimura as his assistant. This does not mean that he cannot have been a composer as well, it just means I can’t find hard proof.
Thank you again for the rip,
JonC

Iku Mizutani did the game. Natsume developed most of the Gundam fighting games for Bandai, and Iku Mizutani, Hiroyuki Iwatsuki, and Haruo Ohashi usually are the ones that compose the Gundam games. In this case, for this game, Iku Mizutani composed it.
