Warhammer/Warhammer 40,000 – Can get pricey buying the miniatures etc, as well as spending time on painting them/posing them etc… but well worth it.

Videogame wise…. Depends on what system you have, as there are plenty of great games available. List the systems you have, and it’ll make it easier to offer suggestions.

Second the praise for Warhammer and 40K – you may have to sell your Grandmother to afford an army, but I find if you invest her, rather than just sell her, the interest alone can buy you a decent Marine force in under a year.

As for RPGs, don’t be afraid to buy the ones that everyone mentions, because we talk about them for a reason. Grab a shopping trolley, go into your nearest games shop and ram it into the shelf with Bioware/Obsidian/Square/Bethesda/Namco games, and you’ll come home with more classics than you know what to do with.

Seriously, you can’t really go wrong if you stick with these companies. They hit far more often than they miss.
