Dead Island trailer music (including perfect loop)

Basically Dead Island is this zombie survival game, and the trailer music is incredible, a beautiful and haunting piano piece

So I stripped out the music (props to Hunter2000 on YT for a sound effect-less version), edited out the extra crap, and made three versions. One is just the song straight up, the other are two variations of perfect loops. It’s a 320kpbs LAME recode from a 1080p video, so it sounds great. I really only made this for myself, but I figured why not upload it? Enjoy.

Also, I still have the original Audacity projects saved, so if you’d want a FLAC/OGG/etc encode, lemme know

I guessed the source audio you worked from was the more mellow and calm segment of the trailer piece. The entire piece in the trailer was much louder and had a more "uplifting" tone to it. Any chance we will see the rip of the piece as heard in the trailer?

Thanks, glad to hear you liked it. I’m looking at trying to work in as much of the uplifting part as possible, but there’s a lot of sound effects. I’m gonna try some editing later today to see if I can knock out most of the sound effects, if so, we’re in business, and if not, I’ve still got some other ideas up my sleeve. I’m not licked yet 😀

And I’ll upload some FLAC versions later as well

Thanks for this! What an unbelievable trailer! It reminded me (minus the flesh eating zombies) of some of the introspective parts on the show LOST (maybe the music is a bit Giacchino-esque?). The actual music is composed (I think) by Olafur Arnalds. I don’t know if he’s doing the whole soundtrack or if just this one song was used for the video. Here is his website:
