.arc file format

i am trying to find a way to extract .arc files and the only place ive seen anyone have any sucess with it was Thread 85168 Music
was converted directly from the files in the AUDIOSTR.ARC file

Thanks goes out to Alpha23 for writing the script to extract the audio and add the proper SS2 header. well i have the audiostr.arc file extracted from the backup but i have not been able to find anyway to extract the files from it can anyone here help? i would pm alpha23 and Infernus Animositas and ask but i am not allowed to pm..
