Actually, as a fan of the animated series, I really enjoyed this. True, the plot had to get boiled down substantially, but i feel that they got most of it pretty right, and liked it quite a bit.

If anyone is interested, I also have the suite of "Flow Like Water – End Credits" which has the choir put back in and can I say it’s a substantial improvement over the version on the album. I also have the trailer theme composed by Howard, and although it isn’t the best quality it is SFX free, I personally am quite happy to receive any unreleased material from this amazing score.

Such a shame that there isn’t a complete or at the very least expanded version of this, considering so many other James Newton Howard scores have received the complete treatment over the years. Especially since the choir was taken out of almost all of these cues, how different would this score sound with those cues included?

Oh, and whenever James Newton Howard is bought up, it is obligatory that I voice my "WHERE THE HELL IS MY EXPANDED TREASURE PLANET SCORE?!" outcry.

EDIT: The release of the complete scores to both The Last Airbender and Treasure Planet makes most of this post redundant. I’ll keep it up to remind you we once lived in a world where neither of these amazing scores existed in complete form. ~shudder~
