I had been playing the first game and after awhile I had been looking at the sequels, I wonder if KH still had its magic from the first game. When I played the game, it wasn’t too complcated as it was basically about saving the universe wheile trying to find Sora’s friends but then the whole Org. XIII came up, Nobody and Keyblade War came up.I know this a Disney game and Disney is notorious for milking its franchises but still has KH lost the orignal flavor that made it so awesome?

I hardly think so. I just think they’re having a hard time portraying the story since the first one. I’m only going by what I’ve played and I haven’t even touched BBS yet or Coded so just the PS2 and the DS games. The game for the DS I thought was rather enjoyable. It gave more info on Org. XIII and Roxas which compliments KH2. I think the gameplay of KH2 could’ve done without the Reaction Command. Thanks to that, the game was WAY to easy compared to the first one (yes, even the Sephiroth battle was easier). The elements to the KH2 story were there and had great potential, but I feel they just didn’t "deliver" it right. Maybe if the game focused more on them and the Nobody enemies it probably would have came out better. I don’t really have anything negative to say about the first one except camera angles, but they fixed that already and it’s an old argument anyways. Chain of Memories was a good idea; the card system was not. But even in that, I ended up just playing it like any other Kingdom Hearts game (except on some bosses I actually had to create a deck made specifically for nothing but the strongest sleights I had at my disposal).

But as far as it losing it’s touch? Going from my perspective on what I’ve played and experienced, I don’t think so. Maybe in terms of story-telling they might have gone soft, but I’ve enjoyed all the games so far despite that and it’s not to the point where you either lose track of what’s happening or it becomes so uninteresting you don’t feel like continuing (much like me and FFVII, but I managed to keep playing till the end). But that’s just my take on it. Some might agree and others will disagree. All down to preference in the end.

Birth By Sleep was the best in the series so far imo.

I enjoyed, BBS immensly (especially for its battle system), but it really asked more questions than it answered. Especially in its "True Ending".
As for if KH has lost it’s touch, the first game was definitely an endearing, heart warming tale and while its sequel and various spinoffs haven’t been quite as strong and simple (infact things get very convoluted, especially when you get into the Ansem/ Xehanort reports), I enjoy the way the series plays with the basic premise of light and dark and the motifs of friendship and keys/keyholes that it builds upon.
While BBS has some seemingly arbitrary plot points, it really felt like a return to form, storywise, to KH. Especially considering KH2 and 35-something/2 days were more about introducing and explaining OXIII and nobodies and they’re whole deal rather than making the story endearing.
That’s my opinion

Has anyone else besides me had trouble when it came to saving? I just got this game last night (I was fucking excited) and I installed the game. But when I started a new game, I got an error that says how it can’t load the data and will read from the UMD only. I deleted it and tried again and got the same thing. So I said fuck it then and started playing. I saved my game but that save is "corrupted". I tried saving again and the same thing happened.

If anyone has experienced this, I’d like to know how you fixed it. All my other games have no problem saving or anything but this one and I’m really aggravated.
