Since I remembered posting Revell’s menacing score to Child’s Play 2 several months ago, I realized I have yet to post this little beauty. I can count the amount of Graeme Revell scores I have thoroughly enjoyed listening to on one hand and this score definitely ranks as one of his better "modern" scores. A rarity in alot of Revell’s work this score does feature a chilling main theme (considering it plays WAY before either Chucky or Tiffany even appear I have yet to figure out whose it is). There are your typical Revell cliche cues in here (heavy use of synths, his trademark stinger, stock action cues) but despite the slight sense of familiarity with this score it all blends together nicely. The cues don’t really progress in tone as much as each cue just matches the scene it accompanies (which can make for an inconsistent listen) and nothing really more than that but it’s entertaining nonetheless.
