My most sincerest apologies my friends but I have no idea why I didn’t notice this earlier. Track 9 – Dr Robotnik, when I finished editing it, has been encoded to 96 kbps … luckily I kept the source music from which this expansion had been possible so I have re-edited and recoded it to 320 kbps, the link for this new track is ready below.
Track 9 improved (http://www.megaupload.com/?d=W9EERQLO)

Sonic 2 is online now so go check it out

OK, the music in the game is awesome, but to be honest, 8+ minutes is far too long (especially for normally under-1-minute songs).

Also, when I saw "expanded", I was sort of expecting something along the lines of this:
music (http://www.brawlcustommusic.com/music.php?song=2878) — this is obviously Mystic Cave Zone VS from Sonic 2 — this is what I call "expanded".

I’ll be honest. I’m probably one of the only people in the history of the universe who’s ever actually done that kind of thing that I’m aware of. At least I know no one who’s ever actually used the muting of channels (where possible) and cropping parts, and pasting them all together to actually extend the song. Maybe I should do this to all the Sonic songs, if I can? I might deliberately not upload it until precisely 20 years after the release of Sonic 1 in my region, which is June 23 — this is also (coincidentially) the 15th anniversary of the Japanese release of the N64, SM64 and other games released on that date in 1996.
