Queen of the Damned – Film Versions sung by Jonathan Davis

A bit of history before you download:

The songs for Lestat’s band were written and performed by Jonathan Davis of the band Korn and Richard Gibbs, although Davis’s contractual commitments to Sony BMG meant that his vocals could not appear on the soundtrack album. Instead, the vocals were re-recorded by other musicians for the soundtrack release: Wayne Static of Static-X ("Not Meant for Me"), David Draiman of Disturbed ("Forsaken"), Chester Bennington of Linkin Park ("System"), Marilyn Manson ("Redeemer"), and Jay Gordon of Orgy ("Slept So Long").

I’d been searching for a long time for the actual versions sung by Jonathan Davis, and I lucked out yesterday.

I don’t know the origin of these songs, if they’re legit or somehow fan made, but they sound fantastic.

Slept So Long is one of my favorite songs of all time…

It’s definetly fanmade, you can tell because Slept So Long is a very cleverly mixed version of the CD version and a rip of the extneded concert sequence from the DVD (you can hear the audience and slight sound effects) but its still sounds much better than the rip I made so thank you for this find. 🙂

Slept So Long was what made think it may have been fan made. Whoever mixed it did a great job, though. The FX in the background don’t really bother me – it actually adds to the song.

I dunno if you’re still on here or whatever but can you please, PLEASE re-upload it! 🙁 It says it’s expired. ;_; I’ve been looking EVERYWHERE for these.

These are the same files as the first post, but I added a shoddy rip of System I did from the scene where Akasha is in the Admiral’s Arms – there’s a score outro with the film version I haven’t heard anywhere else.
