Firefly Extended or complete score?

hay everyone, does anyone know of or have an expanded or propper DVD rip score only or something edition of the Joss Wheadon series Firefly – i watched an epiosde today and realised i want more of the music

There is an extended, or complete, score for Serenity, but i have seen nothing beyond the official cd for the series itself.

how do you know there is? mabey its just a rumor you heard or something 🙁 i saw a "compelete" version on pirate bay once but it was some guy ripping "music cues" directly from DVD’s and so had all of the dialogue on them 🙁

I found it floating around one the many blogs I frequent, quite a while back. I thought it had been posted here once too, way back when.

I have a DVDRip boot of individual episodes 1-14. Since the official release was published by Varese you’re probably better PM’ing me for the links. I do warn you though that these are heavy with SFX and dialogue. Two files at about 150Mb each @320.

So, I just happened upon this thread today, and noticed that it’s been a while since the last update, but I’m rather curious about something: is the sad, instrumental version of "The Hero of Canton" (heard at the very end of "Jaynestown") a part of these 48 tracks?

I downloaded a complete score of firefly a while ago. It has lots of dvd rips with lots of sfx. Probably the same as stereoelf is referring to. I edited them out as much as I could, and yes the "Hero Of Canton" sad cue at the end of the episode is in there. You can download it from various places. I will keep my eyes open for links. Babydoll, it would be awesome if you would upload the links.

Yeah. I have the complete "serenity" score as well. The only thing that I saw missing was the complete End Credits cue (with the wonderful "firefly" theme at the end), which I just recorded the audio from the movie.

Dunno, the second disc on my set has the following:

10) End Credits 1:38
11) Serenity Guitar Theme 2:03
12) Jayne plays the Guitar :43

plus 4 alt tracks from the score….

Thats what I got too. I recorded the End Credits audio from the film (like 4 minutes). Its really just the "Repairing Serenity/Funeral" tracks then the wonderful "Firefly" guitar cue at the end. PM me and I can email it to you maybe. Just audio from the film.

Shame. There’s some great pieces that seem to be missing from about 90% of the soundtracks I love. Oh well.

Also, as far as the Serenity credits go, I found a copy some time ago that included the Serenity version of the Firefly theme, but it was split into a separate track from the beginning of the credits. I can’t really remember where, but if you search for "Ballad of Serenity: Big Damn Movie Version" you should have some luck. If that helps anyone.

babydoll, do you think you could upload your Serenity (Complete Score)? All the links I’ve found for it are down. 🙁

Hello! Just wondering if you could post a link to where you downloaded your firefly soundtrack with the dvd rips please? Already have the official soundtrack but would still be interested in hearing the dvd rips ( 🙂 even though I’m not a fan of rips)
