In the game, some stages have different alterations of the same track and are split into multiple audio files in the actual game data. For some of the tracks, I transition alterations or stage songs into one track. Next time, give a listen first.
Uh, can you explain that?
!!!!! thanks for the share & also a great rip (looks great, i am dling it actually)
it’s also a great idea to merge tracks like they are sorted in the game.
Pokeneon7 & mmx_84,.
are you sure that your dl was not corrupted before saying this?
i will report it here if i find any errors.
see ye.

Only 3 tracks were broken. But the rest came out fine, but then they didn’t play in either iTunes or Media Player.
i guess it’s the Flac because:
i grabbed the MP3 version,
no extraction error,
all is taged well,
all the tracks are played without error for me.
or as i said before, your download was corrupted, not the upload neither the .rar itself.
i won’t check the Flac, i won’t dl it & i can’t help you with them (the flacs).
Same here, very disappointing besides though there are a few good ones not including that shameful version of Bonus Room Blitz. Surprised they didn’t use Gangplank Galleon for one of the beach tracks and just used a bunch of uncatchy drum tunes.
@Simon B
Thanks and you’re welcome for the tracks.
@ Pokeneon7 & mxx
I’ve downloaded the mp3 RARs and checked each track with no errors. How are 3 tracks broken if all of them don’t work BTW? Either way, redownload and hopefully they work. And try not to troll Pokeneon7 🙁
UPDATE:
Well after screwing up a bit I fixed yet another track that you guys may or may not realize is incorrect. Here is hopefully the last mistake in the rip. Mp3 Versions of the "fixed" fracks are now available on the first post.

In terms of the soundtrack itself, while it’s wonderful to hear the original score reinstated all these years later, I feel somewhat cheapened by the use of MIDI still after all these years. The chance to bring it back in orchestrated form would have been amazing.

Same goes for Hot Rocket and Gear Getaway. The various layers seem wrong combined.
lmao blast blast.
sorry but i thought it was funny.
@Zondekel, was following the title of the raw tracks for certain layers. I’ll mix and match to see if I can better results for those three tracks.
@jentas, awesome to promote the music but perhaps you could let me fix those possibly wronged tracks first.
On an unrelated note, I remember in Mogman’s rip there was a theme that was a medley made up of Donkey Kong Jr. clips- is that in here? In his rip, it’s under the name "Jungle(L04)Factory(L01)." Haven’t listened to the whole thing, as I said, so I don’t know if the theme is in your collection.
EDIT: Thinking about it- you said that you were combining the layers by their titles- I haven’t gotten to play the game yet (tomorrow I get to), but you think that the layers are more like alternate versions of the themes that play when you get to, say, the end of those segments? Kind of like how some of the original titles for the mine cart levels are labeled as "MC END" or something, and the music shifts to that alternate version?
———- Post added at 12:03 PM ———- Previous post was at 11:58 AM ———-
That might also extend to Peaceful Pier. I haven’t listened to the entire soundtrack, so I don’t know how many levels use variations of that theme that I’m just going to call from here on out the Mine Menace theme.

That song is entitled, "Golden Temple". It’s in the new updated version of the rip.
From how layered tracks have been made in the game, they’ve all been the exact same size as the track they’re supposedly layered over. Any alternate track is usually a bit longer or shorter then its counterpart for songs like "Stormy Shore". With Rickety Rails, Bombs Away, Roasting Rails, and Prehistoric Path, they all have a similar layered track. If it’s wanted, I can end each track with their "alternate track".
Here are some images I edited to make album covers for anyone. (I’m a stickler who needs album art) 😛
Thanks I’ll add the bottom one in for the new album art.
– Peaceful Pier has been replaced with the new track, Blowhole Bound.
– Blast Blast has finally been re-titled to Mast Blast.
– All mine-cart and rocket barrel tracks have been separated of track layers. End tracks begin after 2nd loop.
– Foggy Fumes has changed title to Smokey Peak and moves from track 55 to 67.
– Smoking Peaks has changed title to Bombing Basalt.

Peaceful Pier and Mine Menace were supposed to be the same track though I screwed up and made two versions accidentally. Blowhole Bound is a new track.
I assume if people find more mistakes / corrections, it won’t be the last update. Guess it depends on that.
Well since last time, the problem was with layered tracks. I’ve looked through the actual game to see if any notable track names were wrong too. I believe now they’ve all been corrected.

KK. Just wanted to know, Peaceful Pier is one of my favorite tracks on the rip.
Didn’t see it in the music directory of the iso. Sorry!
EDIT: Also, is the intro music in there (when the Tikis appear and hypnotize everyone)? Thanks again!

Well actually that is part of a pre-rendered cutscene so it’s not actually just music. Same with the ending. Only rippable cutscene tracks are before and after a boss battle.

Oh hell yeah, you guys are awesome for making this possible!
I get what you mean. I’ll upload when I find it…. 😛
The Wii Menu theme is the "Wii Intro" theme I was talking about above.
Yea, That one.
OK. What’s the target time for upload? Thanks again!
A side note: The game is spectacular, I’m still enjoying it now [World 7-Factory], I do have to say though that some levels are quite "annoying" such as the Barrel rocket levels…
CORRECTION: Track #3 should be Simian Segue. Classic tune like that is hard for me to forget! 😛
EDIT: Not trying to be rude but some tags could do some tidying up… Sound Forge leaves some fields in the file tag, then you also duplicated your Comment into a new Description field, and finally there’s a weird IENG field with a Nanocontroller watchamacallit? I took care of it on my own but you seem to care a lot about the tidiness of this all so I thought you’d like to know.
I’ll be sure to do that for future rips. Thanks for the insight.

Hmmm, I had it right the first time. I looked it up just in case and for some reason, I found it as "Simian Sague".

thanks for the upload btw 🙂
Mine says "failed opening .ras file"
Please, answer !
Nope! Those are in game sound effects. Before each boss, the same song plays with the Tiki’s respective instrument added on.
Question: I don’t seem to hear the song that is played during Platform Panic (aka 1-K stage). Did you forget to rip that song too?
It’s titled "74 – Trophy".
hey, how did you opened the .ras file with test.exe in vgmstream ?
Mine says "failed opening .ras file"
Please, answer !
I suggest you download the newest version of vgmstream
But a question I’ve got from downloading your latest pack. What’s the difference between
37 – Mine Kart Kruise and 40 – Bombs Away?
And a detail. It’s Simian "Segue", not Sague.
But still thanks a LOT for these, it’s awesome D:

Yeah, Bombs Away and Mine Kart Kruise are the same. Whoops. And yes I know now that it’s Simian Segue. The title was correct when the rip was first posted. I double checked to see if the names were correct and I found “Simian Sague” as the track name of many sites which was odd.
Hey, !!!!!, how about the track that plays in DK’s empty banana hoard (beneath the treehouse in the very first level)? Where is that track in your rip?
It’s track “20 – Sloppy Sands”.
It’s titled "74 – Trophy".
I suggest you download the newest version of vgmstream
Actually, regarding the Tiki Possession tracks, I’ve went through the cutscenes without any SFX using the "mute SFX option" and have found that the instruments used by the Tikis are in the BGM, as well as each boss having different music for their cutscene (excluding the Tiki instrumental). So, would you please rip the other Boss intros? Thanks! 😀
EDIT: Also, the Banana Mirror Jingle that plays after you beat the golden temple isn’t there, as well as the music before you encounter Stu (Ruins Boss)
Perhaps, that missing track IS Mole Patrol.
Perhaps, that missing track IS Mole Patrol.
Lift-off Launch is the theme for Mole Patrol. I don’t understand what third variation you speak of. For Rocket Barrel themes, there are two variations; melody playing when on the rocket barrel and background beat when off the rocket. That second variation appears at the end of the track. Can you elaborate on this third variation or send a sample of it?
Nonono, I do not mean the track after the Rocket Barrel sequence. Look, the first Rocket Barrel theme also has three variations: The original version (Found in Peaceful Pier and Crowded Cavern, named Mine Menace), a softer variation (Found in Gear Getaway), and a volcanic variation (Found in Hot Rocket). Like the first Rocket Barrel theme, the second one seems to have those variations as well; the original version, the softer variation and the volcanic variation.
Now, the thing I know, is that all three variations of the second Rocket barrel theme can be found in Mogman’s rip of DKCR, as well as the variations of the first Rocket Barrel theme, and the variations of the themes after the Rocket barrel sequences (four of them, three for the first theme, one for the second theme), but all untagged and unlooped, just like the other soundtracks in the rip.
Maybe you thought one of the soundtracks was the same and ignored it, or, if already ripped and converted, deleted the MP3 and FLAC files of it.
Excuse me if you couldn’t understand me.

I’ll do the first one.

Alright I found it. It’s not Mole Patrol but actually Lift-Off Launch. It must have slipped my mind since Mole Patrol and Lift-Off Launch sound almost exactly the same, it’s just that Lift-Off Launch is so short a stage that it never gets to that extra part oddly enough. But here it is in FLAC and MP3 nonetheless.

All right. Thanks! Really appreciate it.

Tried it but oddly enough, it just output the same file.
Well the script usually spits out the archive name and the suffix, since the ras files have no filenames inside them, You can check to see if it extracted properly by checking for the ras header in hex, or renaming extension to .RAS and play with vgmstream in winamp.
EDIT: for the file in your case there are no RAS files in there so it just spits out the archive again since it cannot find any RAS files :
So the script is working.

Quickbms 0.47 should be the latest right?
And when I tried all 72 .paks in the world folder, quickbms just spit out the same archive.
yes.
1. Open Quickbms
2. Select gen_split.bms as BMS script
3. Select the .pak in this case "L08_Volcano_Boss_TikiTong.pak"
4. Output in same folder
5. quickbms outputs the same file
Could you send me your directory of Quickbms with only the necessary files to extract BAS from PAK so I can see if it’s only my directory that’s messed up.
this is an older version of bms but works either way.

Seriously, what was the point of bringing this up?
If you actually read the previous posts, you could see that I’ve trying to even extract those possible tracks from the game data. So either you wait and stop pressuring for these tracks or do it yourself, simple as that.
Sorry, it’s just that I’ve been having a problem on several forums where I make a post and by the time it gets on the forums another discussion has already started and my post is either looked over or irrelevent. Again, sorry for that and I’ll be patient. Thank you for making an amazing soundtrack, !!!!!, and OrangeC for the extraction. 🙂
Yeah I know, the same happened to me. But I figured I’d look in the dictionary the meaning of both words; guess what, "segue" is actually a music/film movement. Sague is not a word, but if it were, it would still be clear it’s segue that’s intended :).
And alright! I’ll replace Bombs Away with Lift-Off Launch.flac until you release a new file list. Thanks for your efforts! 😀
First is in 5-1 Vine Valley: when the level begins, you’re in a cave with bouncy flowers to send you into a barrel to launch you into the main level… the music is this spacey, ambiance-like song that I can’t find in your rip. Not sure where else it is in the game, so I could be wrong and it’s just merged with another track, but…
The second is one of those multi-layered tracks. It’s 4-1 Rickety Rails, where it starts you out in the jungle, blowing up TNT sticks to open the mine. When you’re in the jungle, it’s just a drum beat, and then when you go into the cave, it adds the marimba… I thought maybe it was in the Jungle Mine track, but that’s a different thing entirely, I think… It has the same type of song, but it’s different as far as drum beat and marimba go, especially the marimba (the drum beat in the second half of Jungle Mine is close, if not the same)… I could be wrong, though, and this is heard in another track…

Along with this, there’s still the track that plays before you fight Stu, the ruins (world 3) boss. I could be wrong, though…

Oh, wait — I found it. Woo-hoo!
(excuse my stupidity, I’m new here)
Also, the first layer of Mugly’s Mound is never heard by itself in-game. From the very start of the fight, layers 1 and 2 are playing. After the second time he becomes enraged, layer 3 kicks in.
Seems like I have to check back for updates as well.

Any more work on the pre-boss tracks? Thanks!
Couldn’t resist.
I’m hosting the torrent of FLAC from the game with a few tracks added onto it. Though I still couldn’t get the intro before Savory Stu and OJ’s code wasn’t working for me somehow. Either way, it’s been corrected, retagged and reordered into discs like my newer compiled OSVs. Do yourself a favor and register to the tracker to get it.

Thank you!
Thank you!
Make that Mole Patrol, thats the actual name of the track.
Thanks!
EDIT: BOTH files have been deleted. Ummmmmm…..
Thank you!
EDIT: Anyone who is looking for the FLAC ver. will notice it’s missing from the tracker. I accidently deleted it from my drive and is currently recovering the files.
I burst in laughter when I saw this and ended in tears of sadness, ’cause this happened to me aswell (not once)… the irony in life!
