The full game is released on the XBox 360, not sure on the PS3 or Wii though.

I played demo and… well I kinda like it. It’s not perfect, it’s not as smooth as the original games, but it’s a respectable attempt to recreate the old school series. I’d give it 7.5/10 based on the demo. 🙂

The game that was released is called Sonic 4: Episode 1. He wants all the episodes (or at least I think that’s the case).

Bought Episode 1 a couple of nights ago, but actually played it last night. The game is okay for first impressions. Only have two gripes about the game:

1) The "targeting" mechanism is off a bit. I’ve taken needless hits because of it.
2) When you’re going at high speeds down a hill or something, you don’t maintain your speed. It gradually goes down so when you hit a point when you can go high in the air, you don’t get as much of a boost upwards because of the slow down.

The "Special Stage" has an interesting twist though with using buttons to rotate the field. It’s kind of annoying to a certain degree.

Hows the music in the game?

Also, heard on the Wii Mario is a playable character or something like that. Can anybody confirm this?

The first stage’s music is not very memorable in my opinion. The "Special Stage" song wasn’t that great either. But of course, this is just personal take on it.

As far as playing as Mario in the Wii version, that may be a rumor. I did a google search on that ’cause I was intrigued, but didn’t get one page that even remotely hinted at such a rumor. So, I highly doubt there is any truth to it. Would have been interesting though. 🙂

back then i wasnt a fan of sega in any shape or form, so i wasnt victim of the ripoffs of those days sega commited, i merely witnessed them.
i will, get this eventually.. when it hits the deal of the week, because THAT is a fair price for an incomplete game.

Having multiple episodes of the game is just a way they cane keep pushing out original content without having to develop a new engine. I just really don’t understand your logic here.

My bro beat Episode I completely (on the Wii). There was no trace of Mario whatsoever. Can’t wait for Sonic Colors.

Google’d Sonic Colors that kind of looked like the Adventures games? I actually liked the first adventure game, so this might be good.

I haven’t really liked any Sonic game ever, but this looks okay. I’m mostly surprised by the music not sucking, which is usually the case in 3D Sonic games.

The music in Sonic Adventure 2 and Sonic Heroes wasn’t so bad… but I guess it depends on one’s personal preference.

I thought the music in SA2 was terrible!

‘Rhythm and Balance’ from Shadow’s White Jungle stage was my favorite in SA2.

Sonic Colors is flippin’ BEAST.

Sonic 4: EP1 is pretty good.

I was so disappointed to read all the recent comments 4 bad Sonic, Sonic 2 hours I spent on my laptop just to remind myself how to play Sonic the past.

I enjoyed all of the music in the 3D sonics. 😛 So there!

A few reviews of Sonic Colors have come out already, but this is the only one I could find. People are liking the game.

Interesting. Maybe I’ll give Sonic Colors a try. Ever since Sonic and the Secret Ring, I lost hope in 3D Sonic games.
