You can find the music from Shogun: Total War on here somewhere, which might be like what you’re looking for. And I recommend checking out the music from the Shiren the Wanderer series, although I don’t know how much there is on this forum. Unfortunately, it seems the only piece of music from it on YouTube is this one (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J7yNwZ_De9U), but you can get some tracks to preview here (http://gh.ffshrine.org/soundtracks/3166) on Galbadia Hotel. There’s also a synth arranged album here (http://gh.ffshrine.org/soundtracks/5103). I can hook you up with more than that if you’re interested, although it’s ripped from games. The sound quality is perfectly fine but it’s untagged.

There’s also this thread (Thread 70483), which has a few more suggestions. I’m going to try to update the Looking for VGM Recommendations (Thread 69378) master list sometime soon and will try to remember to add this topic.
