i watched the first few eps when it came out with my brother but never kept up with it, started rewatching it. i’m at the end of s2 now and i have a question

is the idea when walter saw jane dying that

1) she died in front of his eyes and he thought there was no point in trying to call for help

or

2) he intentionally didn’t call for help and let her die, because of what it’d do to influence jesse?

cause walter should’ve definitely known that narcan would’ve given her a huge chance to live. confusing.

I believe its more option 2.
Jesse would bitch and moan all the time, but he never openly opposed Walt since he was usually right anyway.
Jane gave Jesse the confidence to demand his cut.
Walt took the chance when opportunity arose.
