Song Downloader (Program written in Java)

Hello all. I recently discovered your site, and your wonderful cache of video game music. First of all, thank you for this great service. Secondly, I felt like giving something back for all the work you put in here. I noticed that, when navigating through the website, that you are only able to download one song at a time. This can get tedious very quickly, and is exactly why I developed a quicker and easier way to sort through and download the music. I’m sure there are many others in my position as well, and would be willing to donate if they had access to this program. Basically, the program allows the speed of the download, as well as the number of active downloads at a time to be modified. This means that you could have a version for regular members, one for those that donated, and one for those that downloaded over a certain threshold. That way, you raise some money, and people get quicker access to available files.

Besides downloading, this program also allows users to preview images, read text and html files, and even stream mp3 files, just like on the website.

For obvious reasons, I will not publically release a download link, but I will email the file directly if any admins would like to try it out.

Just a quick update, I added a windows media player type of arrangement. i.e. shuffling through songs in an album, looping a single song, etc., so feel free to download the updated version. That will be the last additional feature until I know what it is you’re planning to do with this. No point working on it if it won’t get any use.
