I think I noticed some of these tracks in the rips. From memory I think outpost ambient is one.

For egggsss : the songs Kevin Riepl put on his site aren’t used in the game since he didn’t compose the soundtrack.
He explains he made them before knowing Jablonski was selected for the job. He seems pretty pissed about it.

Yeah true but I’m pretty sure there are a FEW of those ambient tracks in the full game rip. Perhaps they weren’t used in game.
I’m pretty pissed too, I like Jablonski’s work but I loved the GOW1 ost.

Absolutely (Hope runs deep being the other main standout for me), he knows how to make epic score sound very huge.
Did it suit Gears? Yeah it did!
But listening to Riepl’s work, I felt the horror and whilst the tracks wern’t as big they felt more raw and genuinely intense. ie. Tomb of the unknowns, Train Wreck – Locust theme.
I’m hailing Riepl’s work as a masterpiece not criticising Jablonsky.
I think they had different visions for the game and I think Riepl’s was more in keeping with the story, characters and setting.

When those tracks will be offline, the link isn’t working either. And the playlist doesnt include the links to the songs on the server.

Does anyone have the links to this game-rip still? It seems that Alpha23’s account has been deactivated, restricted, blocked, etc.
