It sounds original to me but of course the whole score could use a remastering , maybe FSM or Intrada??

It’s Herrmann’s. The source for this comes from the isolated score track from the Psycho laserdisc released in 1998. And I have to agree with moontrekker, this one needs a proper release from FSM or Intrada, maybe even La La Land could do it.
