The only way to have it removed is by an admin, but they don’t really do it ever.

Your only option is to stop using the account really. It doesn’t matter if you leave it inactive. You might want to edit your options so the site doesn’t remind you to post every few months down the track, though. Not sure how to do that, but there’s probably a way.
