Enjoy!
James Horner wrote the music for the song "Come Little Children" And his full composition of the piece appears in track 30, otherwise known as "Sarah’s Theme".
2:10 of unreleased Horner. Wonderful.
He was originally suppose to score the film but had to bow out at the last minute due to a scheduling conflict. Debney was then brought in to replace him.
Horner however had already written the music for the song by this point and removing all footage of Sarah Jessica Parker singing the tune would have meant having to re-shoot thouse particular scenes. As the film was a summer release and its premiere was swiftly approaching, it was agreed that re-shooting would be near impossible, not to mention the costs, so his music was retained for the film.
It’s great to finally have the material he wrote. I’ve been looking for it for years now. It wasn’t featured on the promotional album. 😉

As these are the recording sessions though, I wonder why there are still cues missing. Like the cue immediately after the opening credits where you hear "Sarah’s Theme" In fact most of the music from the opening of the film appears to be missing. Then there is the orchestral/band arrangement of "I Put A Spell On You" That Bette Midler sings at the Halloween concert. I wonder if these cues will ever show up. I’m still surprised any of Horner’s material especially showed up at all to be honest.

They’re deliberately missing. A more complete recording sessions is available.

I’ve just been going over the information regarding this score and it was in fact Marc Shaiman who did the arrangement of "I Put A Spell On You" for this film.
Also the lyrics for "Come Little Children (Sarah’s Theme)" were written by Brock Walsh.
Who also wrote the lyrics for "Twilight and Mist", performed on screen in "Legends of the Fall", based on one of Horner’s themes for the film.
It is also 49 tracks but 71:48 minutes long.
do you have a link to your version?

and can you say us where? do you have a link for us?
These are really GREAT, especially the second one, created and sung by "Katethegreat19" on Youtube! FANTASTIC! She has 41 vids, and each one is totally unbelievable, considering that they are fan made, they sound very professional. She has the music box theme from "Silent hill" and most of her music sounds like it was recorded in a studio! really sweet! Thanks for sharing this!

I’ve compared those two and I’m afraid that my version differs from the one posted here by no more than 1-2sec per track and this gives totally couple more minutes of gaps between tracks:)
The cover was also misleading:) But I’ll keep on looking
Thanks for the upload
I post that link becuase it has the track list and a break down of everything and what is available and isn’t
So, I need help locating the 38 track names. If someone could provide me with the track list to this cd, I would be forever grateful.
Please & Thank You! 🙂

I have a John Debney "HOCUS POCUS" Score Archive cd of the film. It has 38 tracks and is 53 min. long.
When his management company sent me the cd, it didn’t come with the track list. I called them to ask for a list, they said they didn’t have one.
Have any ideas how to get the track list?
This has never been released to the public.
I’m not even sure why it was released to me, other than I was inquiring about purchasing the John Debney "Hocus Pocus" 19 track promo soundtrack and they sent me this, free. Not complaining, just what like to have the track list. The cd is GREAT!
I just found out today, that what I have is Hocus Pocus, not the promotional version but "Score Archive" which features 38 tracks and 52 minutes.
Whatever "Score Archive" means.
I just wish I had the track list.

Have you downloaded other soundtracks from the film to see if tracks match up to copy the names of those tracks?
So, I need help locating the 38 track names. If someone could provide me with the track list to this cd, I would be more than happy to share it with you in flac.
If you don’t mind posting I could help you out with creating a track list. Seems the only way.

As you all can tell it’s far from complete but does featured several cues that were only available in DVDrip form. I have taken those cues and created my own ultimate complete score. It contains 67 tracks and runs 103 minutes. I have utilized this version of the score plus the recording sessions and the promo album (for one cue: Escape from the Witches’ Lair since it appears in neither this rip or the recording sessions oddly). Also while the missing cues are heavily clipped I have gone in and completely remastered those so they sound far better now than they ever have. No clipping, no nasty artifacts, none of that stuff. I’ve also combined the tracks They Conjure and Race to the Witches’ House (tracks 4-5) since it more closely matches the film version and they just kinda sound weird in two separate parts. I’ll post only if Snoopy is cool with it.
@codyap09,
Please forgive my asking, but what are you talking about? Are you saying, "I have a very, very special album"? The cd I just posted? What do you mean, severe clipping? 🙂 Please explain, I have not a clue on what I have.
Will you be able to help me out with a track list?
Thank You!

OMG, DUDE. You have a VERY VERY special album. To anyone who is curious, this DOES have the tracks from the opening of the film that have been difficult to track down in any form short of a DVDrip. Only problem is severe clipping but with a little cleaning up (like I’ve done)

Sent you a PM. 😉
I just finished using what you posted snoopy to create a complete score edit too and would like to fix those couple moments. Most of them I could fix with already released material but some I couldn’t. The final product is Two discs, 75 tracks, almost two hours of music heh. I’d like to post it too if that’s ok Snoopy 🙂

Sure, you can go ahead and post it. Enjoy! 😉

It was pretty simple how I did it really. I loaded the FLACs into Sony Sound Forge 10, and just kinda played with the Clipped Peak Restoration tool but I did not cross fade the clipped edges, basically the settings I used altered the volume a little but completely restructured the waveform but there were no audio drops or distortion at high peaks. That plugin worked wonders on Hocus Pocus but still makes Brian Tyler’s music feature drop offs as a result of clipping. He’s very famous for mastered clipped albums. The fixed clips sound much better than the original untouched clips on my car audio system. The original clips were too scratchy and horrible bass distortion but the cleaned up clips feature a more natural soundscape in general and the bass sounds much more pronounced.
By the way, 75 tracks? What else was there that I missed?
I’ll also post mine and put my track list up when I get home tonight
