Anyway what chewey said makes sense. I think there is often an excessive knee-jerk reaction to these issues on the part of people who play video games. I see this every time a thread is made about some issue someone has with a game’s content. It’s just a big parade of post after post of people all patting each other on the back for knowing how stupid all these media people and soccer moms must surely be. Have any of you ever taken a couple minutes to try to consider the opposing point of view for a second? I realize that you play video games so you see them as being on the other side of some kind of imaginary dividing line in a BATTLE FOR FREEDOM TO PLAY GAMES but it’s not really like that. They are real people who have reasons for feeling the way they do.
I don’t think there is any part of this interview where the lady says "we should censor this game" or "this game should be illegal." Maybe I missed it but I do recall there was one point where she admitted that yes the adults buying and playing these games can choose their own entertainment. It seems to me like the only point she was trying to make was that she felt the game was insensitive and disturbing. She didn’t make any wild claims that it would ruin the youth of the nation or cause school shootings or that the game was being targeted at children.
Maybe people really should spend more time thinking about why it is that they actually enjoy games that are meant to simulate real wars, and evaluating whether or not that is a good thing.

Yes, Owen Hart’s death was an accident but he died in pro wrestling, if he wasn’t in wrestling at the time, the accident would never have happened and he wouldn’t have died, the woman said no one dies in pro wrestling, Owen Hart died in pro wrestling, I sorta kinda see a contradiction there. 90% of the wrestlers who have died from drug abuse is because of steroids because they used them early in their career to enhance their own ability and training and end up getting addicted, it’s part of the really shitty lifestyle wrestlers have, wrestling isn’t just wht you see in the ring, it’s more than that, these people are dying earlier than they should be because of what they did in order to make themselves better for the job:
