Recently I tried installing Age of Empires III, but apparently I somehow deleted the game files from my last install and wasn’t certain of what it was I was deleting. So when I insert the disc, the only thing I’m prompted to do is "play", or "uninstall", but I can’t do either because the source files aren’t on my computer. I attempted to drag them all from the disc itself to my hard drive, but that did no good. Any suggestions? I’d appreciate it!

Use a registry cleaner to wipe any traces of the install off the hard disk, and then reinstall.

The hard way, which I don’t recommend, is to launch regedit, navigate to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\Curr entVersion\Uninstall, and then look at the folders with strange codes one by one, and delete the one that says "Age Of Empires III" on the right pane. My experience tells me that this works 95% of the time. I don’t recommend this because if you delete the wrong thing, you’d screw up the computer bad.

Or you could just try system restore.

LMAO, doth my dilemma entertain thee, Locke?!?!?! But seriously, thanks guys. I’ll try those out and it should work fine again. I’m so computer-illiterate, it’s embarrassing.
