(It’s the german Collector’s Edition, never mind those german translations under the tracknames)
Enjoy 🙂
Note: I’m not the best ripper out there, but it’s better than nothing 😉 oh and before someone say’s that I’m a lucker or something – StarCraft II can’t be installed before the 27th 😉
So here it is: StarCraft II Wings of Liberty Collector’s Edition Soundtrack (http://www.megaupload.com/?d=32FE4S7H)
Seems like the score was composed by Glenn Stafford, Derek Duke, Russell Brower and Neal Acree, but does anyone know who composed what? Does the booklet or whatever contain any kind of info on that?

Well, the booklet shows much stuff for the ones on the single instruments, but you listed already the composers. But the "Behind the Scenes"-DVD has a Making of Sound-Special which says, that Glenn Stafford composed the Terran themes, Derek Duke the Zerg ones and Russell Brower the protoss ones.
Oh by the way, the soundtrack was recorded with the Skywalker Symphony Orchestra (so, Skywalker sound from LucasFilm Ltd.).

Ok, thanks! I just wanted to know if there’s detailed info, because I like to tag everything properly. Like with the Wrath of the Lich King OST, VGMdb has a track by track analysis like this:
Russell Brower (1, 5, 6, 8, 13, 14, 15, 16, 17, 18, 19, 21)
Derek Duke (2, 7, 11, 12, 18, 20), lyrics on track 17
Glenn Stafford (4, 8, 9, 10)
Neal Acree (3)
But the booklet itself doesn’t have that info, so I wonder where that came from… Anyway, no big deal if the StarCraft booklet doesn’t say. I guess that’s how Blizzard rolls 😉
Terrific, thank you!
The bonus dvd got all Ingame and CG cutscenes. I couldn’t resist and watched them.
I can’t believe how the game ended (although it really moved me to tears).
I wonder who that will work out in the Zerg campaign.
Scans would be welcome, if someone is able to do it.
Now about the score: Most of it is basically Transformers, just with much better orchestration
Note: Arrival on Earth & Fire and Fury are so identical it’s criminal, the same can be said about the end of Better Tomorrow & Eternal Father (Crimson Tide)
That aside, Starcraft 2 is the better Transformers score and Wings of Liberty is my favorite (I heard Harry Potter, Lawrence of Arabia & some Bernhard Herrman in this one)

maybe you find them similar because of the same performer? 😉 but yeah, music itself sound a bit familiar, like: this part I heard in transformers, this in Logan’s Shadow, etc . But I would say it’s ok anyways. =) Composers made a great work!
:billymays:
I’d have ripped the music and posted it myself by now but their digital download is insanely slow and my shipment is expected August 10th or later, apparently.

Oh dude, You got to upload that.
I really wish I could buy the game.
You know… Got a 10 year old laptop. You probably know how I feel

second this!
thx for sharing the score!
I would have prefered the battle tracks separate but i’ll just have to wait for someone to rip it from the game itself.
