Its pretty generic for either of them. Sakimoto loses his unique style when he tries to do metal here. Fans of Sakimoto’s more sweeping scores should just avoid this.

I respectfully disagree, Sirus. I think it’s perfectly within Sakimoto’s style, but with a new twist on it. It lacks the softer parts of his style that he normally has, but that’s because of the game itself. I think it’s cool the way this collaboration worked and it’s an interesting album. The final few tracks done by Sakimoto on his own are exactly one of the things I listen to him for, that intense orchestral battle music with his unmistakable fingerprint. Even most of the stuff that’s arranged by the others still has that sound. I’m a shameless fanboy, but I can understand a complaint that it’s generic Sakimoto. But it feels good to me. To each his own though, of course.
BUT am I the only one who finds the vocal track absolutely beautiful and perfect?
Also, so people don’t get their hopes up and then let down, the only track Uematsu has anything to do with is Sakimoto’s arrangement of "Dawn of Vermilion". I think it’s an improvement too. He took the original and made it sound like his own, with that Soukyuugurentai/Vagrant Story rhythmic style too!

Thanks for the upload! I enjoyed the tracks Sakimoto composed. I have heard people say it doesn’t sound at all like Sakimoto, but I disagree. I think it sounds more like Sakimoto than his shooter soundtracks (Radiant Silvergun, Gradius 5) do. And I’m glad he decided to change things up a little, avoiding a Sakuraba-esque rut.

Huh, I like Hotoshi Sakimoto more than I know. All my tracks for Gradius 5 and Radiant Silvergun are tagged for him, but I never really payed any attention. lol But I’m always discovering things I never knew about my collection. Eternal Garden is my favorite.

I like Sakuraba, but he needs to repeat Baten Kaitos. He was never better in that. His latest work hasn’t really stood out IMO.

Try Zshare and SharingMatrix, they appear to still work. If not, I guess I can re-upload.
