It’s humour is blunt and plentiful.

DeathSpank looks awesome and the main character sounds an awful lot like Captain Quark from the Ratchet and Clank series. And that’s awesome in it’s own unique way 😀

it’s really bad man. it sounds as though it’s written by someone who just doesn’t understand humor. Like he watched a bunch of funny stuff, and then completely misunderstood why they’re funny.

Ron Gilbert is a great man. You take that back.

if this is representative of his work, either the love for monkey island is all nostalgia, or it’s funny in spite of his efforts.

I thought the Monkey Island games were hilarious (at least, the ones Ron Gilbert worked on), yet the brief glimpses of humour I’ve seen in various gameplay videos didn’t seem funny to me either. I may still pick it up if (when?) it gets a PC release, since it will inevitably end up on some Steam sale.

DeathSpank is easily one of the best XBLA games ever. Only 1,200 points and is better than most tracks on disc $50. The cooperative is finally moved, but it has much to do with the game was never the intention of co-op to be with. For some reason, decided to add the last minute.
