For those who have heard about this uh… "game"(or bought it as well), what do you think about it?

I’ve thought about trying this on my flash cart just to see what it’s like. I can’t see myself paying money for this but I’m pretty curious about it. I imagine on a DS Lite the font is either tiny or you can only read a couple sentences at a time.

I can’t imagine a worse eBook reader to be honest – the DS would be uncomfortable to hold for long periods of time, the corners would dig into your hands, and the low resolution would mean that you’d have to have the font at ridiculous sizes to make it readable.

That and it only includes 100 public domain books that you can get for free from Project Gutenburg (or the Amazon/Kobo/etc bookstores that mirror Gutenburg).

As someone who has switched to eBooks entirely (partially because I couldn’t bring my huge book collection with me when I moved, partially because I can’t afford to buy books to keep up with my reading habit, and downloading them is easier), the best solution would be to shell out the extra money and get an actual eBook reader – I believe the Kobo is available for US$99, and you’ll have access to those 100 books, and thousands more right off the bat.

Personally I use my phone to read – a little bit hard on the eyes, but i haven’t been able to justify a purchase of another gadget to do one function. I did switch from my iPhone 3GS (Stanza app) to a Samsung Galaxy S (Aldiko app) because it has a bigger screen and higher resolution, which makes reading better.
