It’s a 2D game creator which has a feel similar to that of older final fantasy games, but with a high 60FPS rate, easy scripting language (Ruby, can be used to apply other languages) which enables all sorts of neat possibilities. People have even made the 2D game maker into a 3D game maker!
It’s not free, but you can use RunAsDate to legally make the trial extend forever.
The trial has no limitations, apart from a lil’ window asking you to buy a registration key. You’ll also get all sorts of technical support when you buy it.
