……..already bought Dancing Mad. hahaha BTW can I request the PDF that comes with the full album download? I only want to see it, in hopes of the PDF including the lyrics for Dancing Mad. 😀
Thanks! 😀
Yeah, I’d really like to see the lyrics for Dancing Mad. ^.=.^
OMG THIS!
Suteki Da Ne, Melodies of Life, and Kiss me Goodbye are to me the ultimate in Square Enix vocal tracks from final fantasy games and Suteki Da Ne was the ONE track I was uable to ever listen to in english. This version of the song is also AMAZING. I may have to buy this just to support the creation of one of my lifelong wants!!!
Also to Deviant Reaper – you should link to the site to buy it so people don’t have to search if they want to support the creators of this awesome album.
To me it sounds like they have much more movement in the music than previous versions. Either that or I just didn’t have the proper audio equipment when I listened to the first ones. In that sense its a huge improvement.
I came.
Thank you. Thank you SO MUCH.

And, thanks for the upload.

Thanks. I bit! I love supporting the release of 24 bit lossless files (even if they are HUGE) and a few of the tracks on this album gave me the chills.
If you enjoy this you should support digital distribution done right (if you live in the USA and its $9.99)
Loving it, looking forward to the flac upload.
Thanks! 😀
Only lyrics included are from Suteki Da Ne and Melodies of Life.
Still, if you don’t have the money to buy the FLAC release… you can make do with the MP3 320k release that i’ve already posted.
Added support DW store link to first post~! We need to support releases like this 🙂

I won’t be either. I agree with this.
Oh shit
will buy later
For what it’s worth, I’m in Europe and it only cost me $9.99 as well.
Btw I find it hilarious that they declare loseless to be for nerds only …
$9.99 works out as 6.55 or so here. It’s half the normal price of a CD for me o.O
Can’t argue with that~!

Yea! Its only 7 euro’s and I REALLY want to buy it, its not the money…its the payment options thats holding me back 🙁
PayPal is not an option and i dont have a creditcard nor people i know. We have iDeal in Holland, the biggest competitor of PayPal
Question:
Does the FLAC version also has bad poping/clicking or is it just a bad MP3 conversion? (Listen to Prelude for example)
Also, im really disappointed that there are major tempo issues with some tracks, especially Prelude, Dancing Mad and Man With The Machine Gun….the tempo is not consistent and kind of awkward
But the recording and mixing quality is superb and i also like Susan Calloway’s voice

And for Audiophiles 🙂 "For Audiophiles and Nerds"
New tracks aren’t that good – Dancing Mad is mediocre at best, especially middle part (as Finalfantim noticed, there are some tempo problems). And I actually had hopes for an orchestral arrange (like the one by Jeremy Robson:)) of whole thing, here it’s basically original version performed live… Jenova is quite cool though and I like Prelude here. It was also nice to hear Prima Vista Theme:).
As for songs, Melodies of Life sounds horrible. I hate the vocalist voice, and the way she sings. Dreadfull. And why english Suteki da Ne? It’s my favourite FF song, but it just sounds strange here. Maybe because I used to japanese version. Or maybe because they translated everything except "Suteki da ne". It sounds odd.
Overall, not bad album as a whole, but I pass on it. I have most of those songs already, and for one Jenova I won’t pay 10 bucks. Thanks to Distant Worlds for streaming option though:).
YAY!!!!
Concert in Vancouver was AMAZING!

I wholeheartedly agree with everything you said. I will not be buying this.
I agree, Shiro Hamaguchi’s arrangements are the best. I enjoyed Dancing Mad mostly because I really didn’t care for the original in-game version, and this version was just somehow more appealing, although it could’ve been better.
The other songs I’ve heard a lot of in other concert releases, Voices, More Friends, etc, although a studio released version is always a bonus and better quality. The beat seemed a bit off in a few songs, but nothing I didn’t get used to after listening to it a few times.
I have mixed feelings about Susan Calloway’s vocals. I enjoyed it in Distant Worlds (the song) more so with her than the original singer mostly because her’s was easier to understand and her voice was pretty suited to the powerful nature of Distant Worlds. Her Melodies of Life was a little too rock’n roll for me, especially since Emiko Shiratori has such a beautiful and fitting voice for it, being more a soft ballad and whatnot.
Her Suteki Da Ne was good for people who can’t stand Rikki. Personally I grew to like Rikki’s voice but Susan Calloway’s voice fit it reasonably. What I couldn’t stand about the song was the lyrics. It was cheesy when translated, although I give them credit for keeping it as genuine to the original Japanese as possible. But unfortunately I can’t stand the way she sings "Suteki Da Ne." I don’t know of a better method for how they could’ve replaced the "suteki da ne" part to make the song sound better, but the way it is right now in the song sounds horrible, and doesn’t even sound like Japanese anymore. They manage to make the Korean version sound nice translated, I wish they could’ve done it with the English.
Ultimately I’ll probably end up buying the FLAC anyways, since its so cheap. 10 bucks was what I paid for just for parking at the Distant Worlds concert last year, so its nothing.

Haha no problem, thats why i brought it up…not to bash or anything, just to clarify. I had my suspicion that it was a streaming rip 🙂
But does no one notice the annoying clicking and popping in Prelude? I hope its not in the lossless FLAC

It doesn’t seem as bad in the reupload, did you download it?
Thank you so much for posting this!
But all in all… quite enjoyable experience on my end.

Yea i know…its because of the expectation i think. I waited for this album since the announcement so…my expectations were pretty high.
But i agree, its a real good album and its rather cheap. I also love the vocals of Susan Calloway…there’s absolutly nothing wrong with that voice…Its only a shame Kiss Me Goodbye wasnt on the list….ah well, they need tracks for DWIII right 😉

Yeah well Kiss Me Goodbye doesn’t need to be on there because it already exists in English and Japanese and there is no way in hell ANYONE could possibly improve on Angela Aki’s own versions. If you are looking for flac versions I may be able to help you on that part.
First i said the same thing as you…
This clip made me think differently:

Id rather have Kiss Me Goodbye instead of Prima Vista or Dear Friends to be honest 🙂
But as i said…there should be tracks left for DWIII

Not even close. Then again I’m a fanatic of a fan for Angela Aki. This just sounds wrong. Most of the other singers of major vocal songs on Final Fantasy games I don’t listen to their other work outside the game. Now orchestral version of Kiss Me Goodbye on a Distant Worlds album would be very nice but only if they got Angela Aki. I can understand why they have to use this other singer because she is touring with them for purposes of the live shows but doesn’t mean I would support it.
Is that sad?
Does anyone have the original of this?
Guess I’ll jump on this boat too. I had the chance to see Distant Worlds II in Chicago back in November, I believe it was. It was an amazing experience, but I was deeply saddened when my favorite song, Dancing Mad, was played. It felt like a hollow version of the original. It had no spirit, and it was cut down way too much. Really depressing.
Though it was epic when Uematsu jumped on stage to play One-Winged Angel. His sound was fucked up on keyboard, so after the show ended, they all came back out and played it again. I thought it would be overkill, but I was wrong. Listening to that song live is beyond words.
How come they dont have all the music from the concerts released? I checked the Wiki and they recorded more music for the first two concerts than is on these two CDs?

Expect those on Distant Worlds III.
AWESOME!
Good album, a bit disappointed by Dancing Mad… the last part of this song was more epic by the Black Mages in my opinion, and I wish a place to call home was Instrumental, crappy vocals and lyrics spoiled a good melody… But the prelude is trippy, Terra’s theme and The Man with the Machine Gun are better than ever, JENOVA feels like a spy theme when played this way, kinda cool, and at last there’s a good version of zanarkand without vocals.
I came.
Thank you. Thank you SO MUCH.
Agreed. Thanks for the upload!
