Butterfly Catching

I’ve only had one time where I’ve actually almost won the first butterfly catching mini game but I went out of the field!!! Ever since, I’ve been trying to get past it but I just can’t! There’s this one part right before you get the (I think) 5th butterfly in the first game where there’s a huge swarm of red butterflies. It doesn’t even look like I’m hitting them and there is still fiends that appear!!! Does anyone have any strategies on how they got past this mini game?

It’s impossible, I had a map but it’s the time limit, it’s too goddamn short.

i have traumas from that! i first saw the game at a friends place, and later borrowed his ps2 to play it myself. unfortunately i had it only for a weekend and really wanted to get as far as possible into the game. i had no idea that the butterflies were a optional mini game (i thought i needed to beat it in order to advance). the problem was, my friend gave me the wrong cable for the tv, and the game was black and white! no need to explain how fun it was to guess what color the butterflies were.

Oh wow, the butterfly catching game… I could never beat it either due to the crazy time limit.

Maybe I’ll give it another go this summer with those maps, thank you ^^

^Playing that bit of the game in B&W must have been impossible!

I did all of them. It’s not impossible… but hard. Very hard.
Actually, I don’t know why I even bothered. I never used Kimahari so his celestial weapon was… unnecessary. It looked cool though.
