unknown anime/vgm music collection; can you help identify the osts they are from?

while I can’t claim to know every tune in anime/video game music, I will give it my best to identify this collection you have. EDIT: I would also encourage my fellow ffshrine peers to partake in this when you can.

I’ve already downloaded the pack awhile ago. I listened to a few already, but nothing is coming to me yet 🙁 I’ll have to research on my best guesses.

Hmmm…. Sounds familiar but I just can’t put it to the right name?

For some odd reason I thought of PS1’s Thousand Arms from Atlus, but that isn’t right I checked.

I might be able to figure these out, but it’ll take a while:

1 – (video game… )
2 – (anime) I should know this one… sounds like something from a space opera
3 – Bleach – Sen no Yoru wo Koete (thanks to HansBadelt)
4 – (anime… another ballad of an OP/ED theme)
5 – (video game… sounds like a ‘world map’ theme)
6 – (anime… another remake of an OP/ED theme)
7 – (anime… sounds like a introduction before cutting into show itself)
8 – (video game… some victory song definitely not after a battle)
9 – (anime… another ballad of an OP/ED theme)
10 – (video game…)
11 – (video game, sounds like Ken Nakagawa’s work… Atelier, Ar Tornelico, or Mana-Khemia series)
12 – Unhabited Planet Survive "Forest" OST 2 – Tairiku kara no Kaze (thanks to youseph)
13 – (video game… )
14 – (video game… sounds like Legend of Kage 2 DS)
15 – (video game… it sure sounds like Tenpei Sato’s style, but I doubt it)
16 – (… sounds like a broadway musical x.x)
17 – (video game… )

They sound great, I would like to know where it’s from too…

Well, there’s one right. That one was driving me crazy because it seemed so familiar, but I don’t watch much Bleach at all 🙁 I guess I never actually heard it before. But, that beginning does sound pretty close to ‘Star Stealing Girl’. My brain must have been crossing the two.

I haven’t placed any of the others yet, but I’ve been making genre guesses. When I list a game, I’m guessing on the idea of the related style, not exactly the game itself. I’ll post them in hopes that some of my notions might spark something with anyone else.

There are so many guesses that I can guess which each one… the anime ones are really irking me.

I am not of much help, but I can vaguely remember "unkown vgm+anime.mp3". I’m positive that I definitely heard this song in pop’n music. But I can’t remember the title and it’s now bugging me.

I have seen many animes, and listened to a lot of music, but I still don’t know these songs, the only one that i can kinda tell what it is, is number (14) it sounds just like "Mystical Ninja Goemon" on the PS2, I’ll listen more and get my super anime/video game music friend to help to.

Found track 12! Its the first track from the anime Uninhabited Planet Survive OST 2. Scratch 12 off the list!

Wow, I’ve never heard of that anime before. I guess I was totally wrong to guess it was a video game song. :/

5 is not from symphonia 1, don’t know about 2 and i haven’t gotten around to playing abyss yet to verify or deny that one.

The 8th is the instrumental of an OP or ED from an anime. I know it but have to look/hear through 2k songs to find it. That might take a while. I know that she sings Kikue arita or something along this, It’s a beautiful song but I haven’t heard it since ….. well 2002? anyway I will tell as soon I have found something.

I was trying to think of genre and not the games themselves. I don’t quite know if there’s any other games like them that would have similar music. I’ve become stumped on the rest though 🙁

Wow these are some really good tracks. I have similar music, sadly none of em match. Do you have any more favorites of the similar genre? I’ll upload mine if you do too or if you just want. Sorry I couldn’t help =]

Ungh… I checked Ar Tornelico 1, 2, & 3… Mana-Khemia 1 & 2… Atelier Iris: Eternal Mana, Azoth of Destiny, and Grand Phantasam… Atelier Annie… Atelier Lina… and I can’t figure out what track 1 or 11 is… >< They sound so similar to Ken Nakagawa or Daisuke Achiwa’s work… ARGH…
