wrote a Impression on this demo that I’m sure no one here has read [posted it on another board], but here is my update:

"
Been playing the game on the realistic difficulty and I can honestly say that the game is basically the same, but you die quicker. The enemy AI is still horrible as well as a few other things I’ve noticed. I actually wanted to make a youtube video, but my cam has decent quality [not the best]. So I’ll just make a list of things I did and noticed:

*all of this was done on Realistic Difficulty*

– The game is clearly for the non-hardcore. The little "alert" circle "thing" must fill up before you are "detected" by the enemies on the map. Meaning that even if a enemy LOOKS DIRECTLY AT YOU……as long as you make it behind cover in time, the enemy will never notice you…….>_>

– So I was having some fun and I decided to try out the sticky camera. So I decided to throw the stickey camera past the enemy eyes………..>_>…..and I got NO REACTION whatsoever. Nice realistic enemy AI.

– Still was having fun so I threw a sticky camera right at the enemy head. He was surprised and didn’t think twice about it [continued to talk]. As a matter of fact non of the enemies did nothing about this. They all continued to talk even though I threw a sticky camera in between all of them.

– LOL…..shot every enemy in a specific area in the foot or Knee caps and they was worried, but didn’t seemed very aleart. They seemed so casual about the blood lose.

– Every time I shoot a enemy, shoot out the lights or surprise a enemy they almost always drop the F bomb.

– Ran right up to a enemy [FACE TO FACE!] and he saw me and didn’t shoot, he yelled something like "enemy spotted" or something, then I jumped to the pipe in the ceiling….leaving my "Last Known Position" shadow behind……and the enemy continued to shoot the wall directly in front of him since that was my last known position lol. The guy who saw me jump to the pipe never looked up either. All 3 enemies in the well lit room never "thought" to look up or around the area. Silly realistic AI

– Was standing right in front of a enemy and he couldn’t even see thanks to the "ghost shadowing"

– I was behind a wall…..well away from the enemies…..and I literally used a flashbang and blinded every enemy in the area. I was in a isolated.area. I used the Sonar goggles to see all the enemies reactions.

– Ghost Shadowing still fails. It’s hard to see when you are near a bright light or in direct light.

– Shot enemies in both knee caps and they still lived and walked around calmly looking for me. Atleast in MGS series enemies show pain and suffering when shot in limbs or shot pretty much anywhere.

– Being able to change the difficulty on the fly is nice and all, but I’ve never really liked that feature in games. I guess it’s ok for casuals and those who need the help. The checkpoints are also good for casuals since you no longer have to worry about enemies prior to checkpoints since the area at inaccessible after starting from a checkpoint.

Even if this demo is a 30% representation of the full game [AI…..easy gameplay], then I’m sure many will not buy this title if they want realism. I’m sure hardcore Splinter Cell fans will pick this up and love it, but the game appears to suffer from too many problems that we’ve all seen in the vids. The interrogation sequences were pretty damn cool though. Everything is else was below "meh"……looks like the Splinter Cell we’ve all grown to know or love is gone.
