Xbox 360 Slim

In light of recent Xbox 360 hardware news, like pictures revealing an alleged Xbox 360 Slim motherboard and documentation of USB storage in a future update, we decided to see if the two stories tied together in some technical way. Surprisingly, they just might. Modding artist, hardware sculptor and warranty wrecker, Ben Heck, told us that if the leaked Slim motherboard is legitimate, not only does he see no place for memory cards (lending even more credence to USB storage for data transfer), but he dropped on us the idea that it may also have an internal hard drive. To emphasize, this conversation is speculation based on potential evidence that has not been confirmed by Microsoft.

This doesn’t seem like a fake. I guess we’ll find out pretty soon at E3 anyway.

Hopefully it’d be out by October. So I can complete my "Trinity". Otherwise I’ll hold off until it’s released. No point buying a "phat" only to have it become obsolete a few weeks later.

The fact that it’s "standing" adds to desire since I only have place for a standing console now.

Also, I hope it’s immune to RRODs.

Kotaku.com already has a bunch of techspecs and what-not on the anorexic 360 like built in wifi and 5 USB ports.

Those specs were out yesterday when I posted that link. The thing turned out to be legit, but it was pretty obvious it was going to be given the circumstances.

The 360 slim is shipping immediately for the price of a 360 elite.

Well, it’s not showing up on Amazon.com yet. Not listed on the other store I frequent either.

Bout damn time they started doing this. Next time around everybody better follow suit from the beginning.

Hope it also has wired ethernet tho. I’m switching my entire network to wired because some asshole of a neighbour is giving me hell by using the same wifi channel as I am. Change it? No, I picked that channel first! He should change it, not me! Plus, that’s the only channel that’s stable on the consoles, with other channels my consoles keep randomly disconnecting from the Internet.
