Hi all, I have a copy of a brand new sealed Vagrant Story for PS1. I was wondering if anybody knows how much this game is worth sealed and black label. Thanks all in advance.

If you want to get a rough price for it, have a look on Ebay to get a rough idea or check out any game stores which sell sealed PSX/PS1 games still (rare, but there are still some. In Australia, there’s Gametraders, though they only focus on the Final Fantasy Games.). Keep in mind, there may be some people who won’t pay full price for PSX/PS1’s games nowadays so your best bet would be Ebay imo.

Yeah, I have been looking on ebay, however, none that are up are sealed.

That’s when you put a price up that’s more. Like, double or triple…maybe quadruple the amount!

It’s on the PSN for like 4.99. Forget having flimsy cases.

I’d prefer to have the actual game, might cost more, but having a physical copy is more appealing to me.

Speaking from a collector’s point of view, I agree with you. Having the actual game disc, case and manual just seems to add more to it.

There is a software manual when you download the game but it’s in the language you purchase the game in. (i.e., I have a Japanese PS3 account and I can download JP PSX games, but the manuals are in JP, if only 360 was the same way :/ ).

I agree 100%. I’d much prefer a physical copy of a game than a digital one.

I would prefer to have a copy of games I really like. So personally Vagrant Story is good but not that good and so a digital copy is fine. With FFIX I will try to keep the physical copy in perfect condition. I see what you’re saying.

Having virtual copies of some games is fine. For me, having Crackdown on the Xbox 360, via downloading it from Xbox Live as well as some original Xbox titles is fine.

But for games like Mass Effect, Saints Row 2, GTAIV, Dragon Age and the like, games I love and enjoy, I do prefer to have the ‘hard copy’ (Case, Disc and Manual) over the virtual copy.

Having said that though, having virtual copies of older games I already have the ‘hard copy’ of, I do consider a good idea. Case in point: Castlevania Symphony of the Night. I bought a ‘hard copy’ (case and disc only, no manual but the disc was in perfect condition) for $10 AUSD, and it’s only been played once on my PSX (also due to the fact my PSX died >.< ) so I’ve kept it aside with my other PSX titles. When it was released for download off of Xbox Live, I grabbed it there and have enjoyed it ever since.

Vagrant Story is the best game in the system. If it wasn’t such a feat that this managed to remain sealed for almost a decade, I would tell you to open that thing and go play it.

Like, right now.

I did the same with FFVIII. Well, a digital copy for my PSP at least. And….I can’t seem to find the memory stick it’s on (this and my Gran Turismo PSP data wouldn’t transfer over to my 16gb one). Maybe I should look and see if it’s possible or if I was doing something wrong…

Well, I already played it when I was younger. Then sold all my RPGS like an idiot. Now im buying them all back because I have a good paying job and its a hobbie to collect PS1 RPGS. But some guy sold me like 10 PS1 RPGs for dirt cheap, that included sealed Vagrant Story.
