Tracks 1-9 on the first disc are Zulu; the rest are other Barry suites and themes. All are re-recordings with the City of Prague Philharmonic under Nic Raine (Barry’s orchestrator on View to a Kill and Living Daylights). Loads of gems and this set was the first time we got the film version of Buffalo Hunt from Dances with Wolves (of course now it features on the expanded edition).

This is all the score there is for Zulu – only about 20 mins for the whole 2hr+ film – so you needn’t feel you’re missing out on anything.

I’ve been away for a while but I’m here, and looking at this gave me great joy to see more of John Barry.

Although it’s incomplete, it’s much better than the Nic Raine recording. Less clean but more soulful and powerful.
