Well, that’s what it is for now. I hopefully can convert these into proper MP3s later (if someone could post a tutorial for it, it’d help a lot). For now, here goes all the boss themes ripped straight from the ISO (no names changed for now). I’ll up the Tiger theme and Minigame themes in a sec.

I’m looking for some of the missing tracks, The theme for Ryan’s Gym, Airport51 & Naomi’s Lab.
As well as the chiptune for when you defeat a boss and the ending song.
These are the only ones I can think of offhand that are missing.

I’m pretty sure I can find the shop themes, I saw them somewhere. Ending song and Boss chiptune might not be so easy.

Give me a bit of time, and I’ll have them up later today for someone to convert.

Quite a bit of the stage music comes from No More Heroes Sound Track Dark Side and the first games soundtrack. I dunno how much is new with the stage music, so I can’t say if you’re missing any or not if you don’t already have Dark Side and the NMH OST. Also, I forgot to thank the uploaders. So thank ya’, Demon and Chelf.

They use the darkside remixs of N.M.H bout 3 of them
Their’s a new remix of the theme in this game
And they use the original ‘N.M.H’ and ‘Heat in hand’
And their’s a mash up of N.H.M and the Bizzare Jelly 5 theme in the Bullet Hell game thing

Death Match is basically a Boss Rush mode; you pick a boss to fight, in which case they will be at Bitter level difficulty or perhaps even higher… It’s unlocked after you beat the game on any difficulty, and you find it on the New Game/Load Game screen.

You don’t

However you use winamp to convert brstms to WAV files, which then you can convert to MP3 via audacity

To convert you need to downalod winamp, then download in_cube.dll which is of course a plugin for winamp

Then you put that in C:/Program files/Winamp/Plugins

Then in winamp you add the brstm files to the libary (I think the program prompts you to add files to libary)

TTHHEENN you go to options and then click prefrances, then on the side menu click on ‘output’ then you highlight the first thing on the list (Not gonna lie i forgot what it’s called) then click on configure at the bottom

TTTTTTEEEEEHHHHEEEEEENNNNNNNN you click on the file path in the new window and select were you want the wav’s to go, then click close on both windows, then play the first file in the playlist

Yes, there is a soundtrack for the first game called No More Heroes Original Sound Tracks. It’s three discs long and includes all of the music from the first game except Heavenly Star, presumably due to the Genki Rockets not wanting it on there. I think about 5 or 6 songs from this soundtrack are directly used in NMH2.

As mentioned before there’s also a remixed soundtrack called No More Heroes Sound Tracks: Dark Side. It’s only 9 songs long and all but the last two tracks are used directly in NMH2.

Hey, does anyone know which one of this is the NMH theme remix where there are ladies singing "No more heroes"? I think it played during the Nathan Copeland stage, and I know that it plays in the background when Sylvia calls you on the phone. I can’t seem to find it.

It’s "It’s kill or be killed mix" by Yoshioka Taku Squad from No More Heroes Sound Tracks Dark Side, and is the first track on that album. Rockin’ tune.

Just a few last minute notes I forgot mentioning.
– "Darkside Hondalady", which I noted as Henry’s theme is taken from the NMH Dark Side remix album, named as "We Are Finally Cowboys [golden brown mix]", a remix of Henry’s theme in the prequel.
– I sorted "Watanabe" as "Santa Death Parade" because the song plays in the fight against the giant mech named as such. paperlink’s indication of "Charlie McDonald" is correct as well, perhaps even more so, since it’s his rank Travis takes.
– There was a mistake done by the producers where they switched characters’ surnames: it’s "Alice Twilight" and "Margaret Moonlight". It’s an honest mistake. If you know their boss fights, the names make more sense this way.

Does anyone happen to know why Masafumi Takada wasn’t involved with this game? I thought his involvement was already a given.The soudtrack for Desperate Struggle has some really memorable music but I felt some of the tracks in the game felt a bit generic and unfitting for No More Heroes. I guess it’s because the No More Heroes theme was used so much in the original game. Hearing some of the music was a bit disorienting and I was expecting "Blitzful Vengeance" to be a recurring battle theme as it was in the PAX game footage. I was surprised to see it ended up being the final Boss theme while there were some parts of the game with no music at all. Overall, I still feel this game lacked the techno style of the first. I still enjoyed this amazing game, but was disappointed with some of the final decisions.

That’s not a knock against the ripper/uploader, either — I am incredibly grateful they’ve done this, and eagerly anticipate downloading it. I only want to be sure that I fully appreciate the music itself by knowing what each track is associated with when I listen.

As soon as I get all the appropriate names for everything I am going to put together the "track order" by in-game appearance. I usually spread the "extra" tracks out between the meat of the game. Like not all the side job music will be together, and neither will the rank matches. It will be something like Rank Stage Music -> Rank Match -> Menu Music -> Motel NMH -> Side Mission Music -> Jean the Cat -> Next Rank stage -> Next Rank Match etc… with Naomis lab and Airport 51 thrown here and there. Anyone interested in me uploading the track list when I am through? I also thought about having a "seperate disc" of the side job music maybe? I got rid of the "double tracks" that were quiter or just lacked intro or even are repeats from NMH Darkside. Keeps room in the iPod and why keep a softer version?

Yeah. Hagio (2) was also the name of a song from a side job. I just named them from what the BRSTMs were named. As for the weird names on YT, I uploaded those, because I went by the mp3 names.

As for the large filesize, anything less than high quality sounded pretty bad, so I encoded them at the highest quality possible.

Should I also upload the credits theme? I got it and also cut the air out of between travis getting thrown off the bike and then the dialogue at the end between travis and sylvia.

Would everything be good if I just upload the iTunes Folder of this music? because the original files on the HDD would not be changed unless I went back to do those. I couldn’t get Margret’s whistle to work…it says it’s forbidden, which actually sounds cool considering the context. I’m not really sure how iTunes folders work though, I’ve only had a Creative Zen and a Zune, so I’ve barely touched iTunes.

Before anyone asks, I’m not ripping the new Margaret theme on the PAL release. It’s terrible, and doesn’t deserve a rip. If anyone wants to rip it, I’ll be more than happy to update the ZIP file, but otherwise, blah. 🙁

After further investigation, I tracked this YouTube account – www.youtube.com/TheOSTation – which posted a good amount of tracks from the game, including all boss themes. Now the particularity, is that they gave "proper" names to the tracks. The poster claims them to be "semi-official", I hope that someone here who played the game could explain what that means. Mind you, the names for Nathan’s and Margaret’s themes are official.
