I sincerely doubt that there will be.
But it’s certainly possible that SE will release the original on PSN soon just as they did with VII and VIII. I of course have absolutely no intention of getting it.
Why does everybody keep thinking there are going to be remakes? If anything people should be asking about V or VI not the others.
Square-Enix needs to move forward and come up with ORIGINAL IDEAS.
Smarty is right though, I’m positive they will release the original PSX title on the Playstation Store for PS3/PSP eventually.
SE needs to focus on remaking every game they’ve ever made!

Sadly though, it seems that is SE’s tune. Remaking earlier titles for current consoles. Fortunately, they’ve only focused on FF1-6 at the moment. With the PlayStation Network, and being able to get older titles via that, a FFIX remake will be doubtful.
I don’t think noobs are going to stop making inane remake request threads though MKS… the low brain cells don’t allow for higher thought computation.
