Has anyone here played ‘The World Ends With You’, an original SE game on the DS?

I’m still playing through and am enjoying the game immensely. I think this is due to the fact that I like the music. Then again the game itself is refreshing since it’s original. I like the characters and the battle system. Mixing up all the diff pins just to get a good combination for higher combos is pretty fun too. Overall I really do like this game more then I thought I would.

I’m with spyboy. At first I didn’t like the game either though, but truly, after the first hour it gets ALOT better. You get the dynamics of the game, the way things work, and you find yourself in a combat original and challenging game (though it can be as challenging as you want, since you can both control the difficulty of the game, as well as your level). So yeah, original game, refreshing, something I needed badly.

Still having alot of fun with it.

I’ve played it, but was forced to restart it about 3 times for a variety of reasons and never got more than about 3 hours in. The battle system seemed alright, but I didn’t like the WALL OF TEXT dialogue sequences and the level design seemed overly linear. I’ll get back to it one day, but it’s not really a priority.

I never liked Twewy as much as I thought I would, but I forced myself to play it anyway. It gets a little better. I liked it a little bit, but I don’t think I’ll ever be playing it again.

The learning curve feels kind of steep, but one you get the hang of it it’s fine. I beat my copy of it about a year ago but still play it even now.

i don’t have it bro, but i downloaded the soundtrack…. couldn’t listen to it beyond the first song. i’m sure the game is much better though.

You say you’ve never played other RPGs? Oh my god! Go buy Tales of the Abyss, or Tales of Vesperia, and shit brix when you realize they both top any of the final fantasy series with no effort!
