I prefer this to the original and would like to buy the whole CD if there is one.. Or is this a fanmade thing? Since I’ve only played one or two FF games (I know, shoot me!) I’ve far from the expertise this question requires. Anyone know?

While I’m at it, I’m probably still going to buy the original FF7 soundtrack, but I do admit I don’t have much nostalgia in that realm, having not played too many console RPGs. Will I still be able to appreciate the soundtrack?

I may well be wrong, I know nothing of unofficial releases or fan remixes, but I get the impression that the person who uploaded it is the author from their comment. "Description: This one has a bright piano and resized chorus, to add to the scariness." I’m sure that is not on any official album though.

As far as buying the FF7 OST, do you think you should take such a plunge without knowing if you like it first? I’m sure there’s a million download links on this site, like in this thread Thread 30315

People here seem pretty split on its quality, so I can’t say if you’ll like it or not without the nostalgia. In my case, I barely remember the game since I was about 9 years old when I played it and never replayed, but I quite enjoy the soundtrack. I did make a playlist that left out about a third of the tracks though. Not because I didn’t like them, but I thought they interrupted the flow of the drama. Definitely download it to decide for yourself.
