I wanted to create a nice compilation. This was especially motivated by the track "wandering flame" from FFX (kind of ambient/chill music that inspire hope, expectations , and peace for me). Anyway I’ve done some search and gathered what could fit with this special mood . All more or less ambient stuff.
In some tracks I only kept a part to better fit the overall compilation, or so that it’s not boring. When the track is severely reduced to a small portion, I’ve put the mention "excerpt".
EDIT: Added a Second Volume. . Three years later my attempt to suggest something more or less similar.

It’s always interesting to see what others find to be relaxing and/or ambient.

For the track "I’m the walrus", I was looking for instrumentals closer to original beatles song… A bit too catchy, not enough "ambient" perhaps. Still nice.

This compilation has been slightly updated:
– replaced track "Claire de Lune" by a version with better dynamic range.
– replaced track from medievil, by a version of better quality, found on magazine cd, instead of game rip
– replaced track tokyo from tomb raider, by a version you hear crowd. It was "remastered" by
tombraiderforums.com.
