Monoral Discography (J-rock) [megaupload]

MONORAL is a rock duo from Japan consisting of vocalist Anis Shimada and bassist Ali Morizumi. They released their first indie mini-album, in stereo, in 2001 and a second one, ammonite, in 2004. In July 2005, they released their first full-length album, Petrol, and, in November of the same year, made their major debut with the single VISIONS IN MY HEAD under Hyde’s HAUNTED RECORDS (Ki/oon Sony Japan) label. Their second single, Tuesday, was released in May of 2007, followed by their second album, Turbulence, in July.

Anis, is half Japanese and half Moroccan and, in addition to speaking English and Japanese, speaks French and Arabic, which can be heard on Sugizo’s C:LEAR album and Fantastic Plastic Machine’s zoo. Ali is half Japanese and half American and is also fluent in English as well as Japanese. Anis has also sung for Belt and worked on the English translations for Hyde’s 666 album, on which you can hear Anis’ voice in the song titled Masquerade.
