First, I’d like to thank everyone who have done superb rips of this score, thank you.
This is a more condensed version of the score, more like an acutall soundtrack with names and in correct order as they appear in the single player campaign. I’ve taken the tracks from the PC-rip
(which where named after the events in the game, thus making it much easier to edit them in the correct order). Basicly, a Complete Score. I did not use all the alternative tracks,(a and b), but stuck usually with the better version of the two (at least what I thought was the better version).
Its still a long soundtrack, clocking in at 3 hours, 12 minutes and 51 seconds, but nowhere near that 7 and a half hour long variant. 320kbit/sec, 424 meg.
Beware of possible spoilers in the tracklist if you intend to play the game, I tried to keep the names as clean as possible, mostly named after either an achivement, an event or the mission itself.

Can you write down the original tracks in order please ?
Thank You.
Is
02 – Opening Credits (3.14)
fx-free ?
I’ll upload it again, but I just downloaded the zip file, and it worked. Maybe their servers are busy.
Nope, Link works just fine.
Agreed.
It’s all good now.
Confirmed.
I’m guessing Robotor got this to and thats why he said the link was down.
If you get that message just keep refreshing the page and at one point it’ll work; The bit where you can enter the security code will come up.

Sorry, I don’t have the source files in correct order anymore.
The files, as you know, are named after events in the missions, so I’ve played the game and I know what happens, but I also used a very detailed single player guide which describes each mission in detail to get the tracks in correct order.

dunno what to do about it :/
PS: JUst finished the game the 4th time on veteran … still awsome <3
I soooo want an OST! Why the wont release one? Or why theres no info about it? Its hz godammit! Some1 email IW!
Amazing what a simple rearrangement and organization does.
Great work organizing and mixing everything!
And thanks to the original poster of the soundtrack. I knew someone out there would post it. I would’ve paid for it had it been given a commercial release.
Yup, its even extended – the second track.
About the score – it needs some tweaks here and there and has some grammar issues but gewd jawb anyway! I see I still need to make my version of this score – your will be much helpful.
The more I listen to this score the more I love it. Most inspired and memorable score Zimmer’s made in a couple of years (and yes that includes the Dark Knight score which I found terrible), the shift in media genres must’ve energized his creativity a bit. The way all of these instruments, traditional, electronic, rock, and ethnic all combine together is spectacular to behold, even as I’m reminded of his Black Hawk Down score (which is one of his best IMO) in a couple of places. Zimmer knows how to score a war, that’s for certain.

Nope, that’s not it. That actually is the first part of the ending credits when they first start to roll. The opening credits are totally different in-game as to what is presented here as the "Opening Credits." There’s big differences, especially with how it’s introduced.
You mean this one (http://rapidshare.com/files/309243992/CoD_MW2_Title.mp3.html)?
I’ve been looking for it long time.
There’s a track in Spec-ops mode that plays during the first snowmobile chase when you’re going down the long ramp and I don’t see it in here. Anyone know the name of it?
Perhaps it’s a track from the previous COD:MW title? I’m sorry I don’t play this game, yet (soon I will), but I watch some youtube videos and I hear some old tracks from the previous title. Try to search those tracks in this beloved site. 😉
Other than those small things this is a complete rip, and I probably wouldn’t have ever noticed if you didn’t organize them as much as you already did so, thanks.
Is this actually the sfx-free version ?
Confirmation is needed.
The "Opening Credits" [Track 2] is either an alternate,or an extended NC version.
Glad to help out.

One word: Re-up this "duke_nukem83".Seriously.
To anywhere BUT rapidshare
This is DD 5.1: LR-Tracks are the front tracks and the LsRs-Tracks are the Rear-Speaker-tracks! you can mix them together to have the full sounds 🙂
Correct, mix these to get full sound. 🙂 Have done a rip but not shared here.
How to mix the tracks ?
Thank you Hagman1983
would be cool if you would share them with us (or only me :D). Guess they sound better but they should require a surround system, no?
Use wav to ac3 encoder, and map the channels like so.
L,R go to left and right
SL,SR tracks to go Rear left and rear right.
It is very important to split all tracks that your going to mix into Mono independent channels, audacity does this. Then its possible to assign the channels.
Once you have the ac3’s you can downmix to wav using besweet and belight, Gets full proper suround with no surround system required 😀
Also very important to check always the sample rate, always should be 44hz not 48, for some reason WAV to AC3 upsamples to 48hz.
I’m assuming you have the correct one, but I tried downloading it and an error message appeared. Please reupload!

but there’s no need for me to do it since you have already did! 😀 Please share!
Here is some artwork I mocked up for myself and thought I’d share it. It’s 600×600, the same size as art from iTunes. I felt that this image looks much cooler – with the combination of black and green colors – that really gives it that ‘modern’ feel to it, as opposed to that other image of the soldier walking in the desert environment. I matched the fonts to the original logo, giving it some continuity, and kept the added text to a minimum, not wanting to add in a crapload of credits that would clutter the artwork. Enjoy!
Nope,it was another track, which i uploaded accidetally and deleted the real one…accidentally! :puppydog:
Well, can you find the real one again and re-upload it ?
I mean,it is obviously out there.

Can you please make one with Lorne Balfe on the cover? Or Lorne Balfe & Hans Zimmer?
I guess. It shouldn’t be hard. I, frankly, don’t care about that other person since Zimmer is my man. So how do you want it?
Lorne Balfe
Main Titles by
Hans Zimmer
That would be uber awesome. This cover in general is so much better than the ‘original’ one.

I wanted to give the two people equal billing, so I put them next to each other. I didn’t want to block too much of the soldier, if that’s OK. Will this do?
This is my favorite rip downloaded from here, thanks a bunch!
/edit/
Nvm i had a few tracks missing from my one, all sorted now.

How did you mix these channels?
This is actually the first part of the end credits.
No, track 26, "Aftermath – End Credits" is track 2 from the first edit and followed by the End Credits suite. So that track plays as it does in the game.
48 is a track which was called opening music from the PC-rip, and it was probably unused in the game (at least in the SP campaign, maybe it was used in SpecOps), so I keept the original name but called it alternative in lack of other names.
Also you should split Whiskey Hotel & Green Flares as they are separate cues.

This link is working for me, at the moment.
Yeah I know, put it up for those who wanted it. There is as you say just minimal difference.
So, if I just use either headphones or a 2.1 speaker system, should I not bother? But I want the 2 or so new tracks. Will I be missing anything with headphones or 2.1?
Also, you said you forgot to mix the left and right channels in the first one, do you mean the rear left and right channels? Because, if not, then was the first one like, mono doubled or something?
Best to use adobe audition to properly assign the channels and mix them as a multichannel ogg.
He has meant the two rear channels.
2ch + 2 rear ch=4ch ogg file.
Also, why do people want an OST for this. I always comehere looking for rips of OST whether I have the CD or not. It’d be nice to display, but other than that, this is better in every way!

I put in a request for santa, hope he likes vgm music 😛
Awesome score this MW2.. Trying my own rip and remix.
How do you account for the doubling in volume loudness when mixing? I tried direct multichannel editing in Cooledit Pro (Aaah the good old days….) but I am already working with incredibly loud files, so the end result is NOISE. Ok, maybe I should do gain change. Tried this, volume is crunched, but not the artifacts that come with the original noisy files. The peaks are beyond eye level! Is there an automatic gain change in the downmix or the ac3 mux?
I have not done an ac3 conversion, i have splitted all channels used for 4 channels mixing then used wavewizzard to map the channels as DVDA option and it automatically does the correct mapping, i save it as waveformatEX, no other volume editing is done.
I have mixed the mp3 version which is 44hz, i have compared the xma from 360 and it is the same 44hz, no quality difference.
HERE ARE THE NEWS
(http://www.gamepro.com/article/news/213423/modern-warfare-2-composer-hints-at-soundtrack-release/)
Edit : I found it, it was the end part of 28 – Of their Own Accord – Crow’s Nest.
Hidden is a SpecOps mission (the equivalent of All Ghillied Up on COD4: MW1) and there’s a cool song when you alert enemies (or miss your kills).
Thanks ahead of time.
