Damn, can’t thank enough. Been busy lately to even notice this…
PC rip next?
but before i take up a whole day downloading…….
2nd : wanna know if "Ogg Vorbis" {!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!} opens with windows/mp3 !?
never heard of "Ogg Vorbis" in my life….sounds like a viking-king or somethin’ !
Well the official world wide release date for this game is on 11.10.2009 (11 = November). So…
HU ?
A keylogger ?
How do you know there’s a keylogger in the archive ?
ogg is smaller and higher quality than mp3. all modern games use ogg not only because its better quality but it supports multi layers of audio too. its the next best thing if a soundtrack has never been released on CD. not the same quality as CD though.
oh right…!
thanx dude….{was still secretly hoping it had somethin’ to do with vikings !!}
Whoever is saying there is a keylogger is lying. Period.
man ! i sound like a ‘tard today !
Like I said, I would never do anything like that.
the one featured in this film from 0:30 on.

Thank you so much for this lol I had a feeling doing this on my own would have taken a long time since Im clueless to this kind of stuff.
http://anonym.to/?http://www.megaupload.com/?d=ANNX78WH
Very stupid question: how many tracks are missing because they are repetitive or terrible? Not that I’m disagreeing with your decision any because you generally have good taste when it comes to game music.
So…if the game’s suppose to come out on the 10th and it’s only the 7th (Or 8th) then…No, I don’t wanna think about that. I’ll just enjoy the music. Thanks again, Pie!
In total I removed 156 tracks.
There were a good 20 tracks from loading screens that were filled with dialogue in the form of briefings for missions.
There were another 50 or so tracks that were far too short and never had any bit of melody. The rest were either completely lacking in substance or redundant. In the original rip, most of the tracks contained an A and B of the same with minor changes. To me, one of the two was usually more interesting so I deleted the other if it was not as good. Usually the duplicate contained additional pulsating electronic bass parts that didn’t add anything to the track. Of course you are free to download the original and weed out the "good" tracks for yourself 🙂
My main purpose for doing this was to provide a more manageable version to my ex girlfriend who is a huge zimmer nut. I figured some people here would appreciate the same.

Does it have an SFX-free version of the Infamy trailer ?

I have no idea what the trailers music you describe sounds like.
Tracklist would be pointless as there are no meaningful names for any tracks.

thanks. i dont personally keep any expanded scores. i prefer to listen to them so thanks for weeding out the non listenable tracks like pointless ambiences and dialogue and sound effects and loops etc.

generic action music track names like "final sacrifice", "last mission", "jeopardy", "we can make it" etc. lolz

Hehe no problem.
I can upload the lossless versions of my cut if you want. I uploaded as mp3 because it was easiest to remove bad tracks from a playlist and convert the remaining to mp3.

From the gamerip ???
Upload them please !!!
Anyway, fans of the summer blockbuster style of music that Zimmer and his proteges pioneered in the 90s and turn of the century should give Jim Dooley’s Jak and Daxter: The Lost Frontier gamerip a listen. It’s very reminiscent of the first PotC, but also closer to Dooley’s recent works in the forms of inFamous and even Pushing Daisies at times. The action cues outclass most of the music heard in summer blockbusters over the years.

Thanx dude…..{and again to the original uploader dude too}
7+ hours on rapidshare was a tad too long for me…..
I’m gonna go and make this as short but as hones as possible. This score is fucking awesome.
There now, is this rip worth downloading as a full rip. Hell yes! So get on it.
This thing is so huge that I feel like I haven’t heard anything, but that is exactly what is going to happen when you swallow well over 6 hours of different kind of pieces and takes. Intense tracks, calm ones, short tracks and long ones. That said there are enough of really sweet tracks and some tracks that didn’t sound that good to me. Overall I obviously really like this, and… in the end I was skeptical about it coming out too orchestral, but was about to find out that there is well enough of electronic in there just like in the CoD 4. Other than that, yes this is definitely different take than the one in the CoD 4, but not worse and that it will fit there just like the score for CoD 4 did.
Love the menu track (Packfile_063B) and tracks with music that you here in some trailers like in the first multiplayer trailer. Also I left some tracks out for now, because I don’t want to spoil this game for me.
Hell yes it is!
EDIT:
"Packfile 056" is *the shit*. First song in this game that really moved me. Hope this theme is used more in the other tracks.
Music gets really good around "Pack 040". I wonder why each song has two versions? Gameplay-oriented stuff? Guess we’ll find out soon enough.
Tuesday is the day my friend 🙂
And no I’m not talking about the eminem song.
Most definitely all about gameplay, some have four different versions like Packfile 016. It is said by Infinity Ward that they tried to offer optional gameplay for player, you should be able to go silently in some parts of the game if you want to. Then again second playthrough or more will sound different than the first one with double amount of possibly placed music. Which is nice, it might sound fresh that way.
First MW had looping, but score itself was just about over hour. In this one, well this score is like well over three hours long plus over 70% of tracks have second version which is usually just as long but different. There is so much music and all kind, I’m fucked up. Overall, to me this feels like very well composed and high quality score, but I got to play the game first to kind of hear where they placed some of the tracks and how they paced them. But anyway, there is well over hour of music for great playlist.
Is it just me or is the song from the infamy trailer nowhere to be seen in this rip.
It might be that it was recorded specifically for that trailer. Same happened for the first MW where some of the music in trailers wasn’t in the game.
Seriously, the first cargo ship mission soundtrack still gives me the goosebumps.
Seriously, the first cargo ship mission soundtrack still gives me the goosebumps.
Yeah definitely, CoD 4 MW score will always stand tall. That score is awesome.

i can’t seem to find it…
i know the intro credits has part of this in it…. anyone know exactly which packfile it is in the full gamerip?
would be appreciated.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BWCOCW-Vjoc
There is no such track in the rip, because this is probably a loop and a in-line rip (record). And I don’t get how this is the main theme either, which it probably isn’t, gotta play the game first though. Closes quick find is 073A. Which starts on the youtube version at 3:10.
One of the best tracks by the way, just my opinion.
The score itself was by Stephen Barton. Gregson-Williams wrote only theme. But indeed, it was far, far superior to this Zimmer’s piece of crap (of course it is just my opinion).
And yet it shows, that main theme can be heard throughout every song, and it sounds just like the original COD theme. I’m sad something similar wasn’t done here.
As far as I’m concerned this (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1c2t6eLB1Fo&feature=PlayList&p=103C793EDCFABD7A&playnext=1&playnext_from=PL&index=25) is the main theme, tune whatever in the MW 2. And yes it was used in to a lot of different versions. So that was done.
But…
I’ve seen many music videos/montages on youtube with music and there seem to be great stuff that isn’t in the game rip.
Wich PAK file are the credits for example? Anyone knows?
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=i8b-quc64bg
EDIT: found it PAK66A is the second track of the credit in this youtube video 🙂
But what’s the first track? Can anyone help please??
I do not believe this OST is a piece of shit. This game was centered more around story for the most part, so it needed to feel atmospheric.
Can you please restrain yourself.
Is the music from the airport scene in the packfile as well? I couldn’t find it.
Thx dude.
There was never an official call of duty soundtrack since the first game. Always just a promo or bootleg.
If no, is it possible to find a release with track names?
Thank you guys!
giacchino always deserves a cd release 🙂
It took me very long time to upload the files, so I will no more help with mirror links.
Another thing; it seems that Lorne BALFE composed the music and Hans ZIMMER composed the main themes.

Thats not the promo mate. It’s just tracks taken from Pie’s rip 😉
Sorta like the first "Pirates of the Carribean." I kind of suspected as much.
If anybody can post a megaupload/mediafire backup link for this one, I’d be very very glad. I can’t get in with rapidshare and dunno why.

I second this request wholeheartedly.
It would be extremely appreciated.
It would be extremely appreciated.
True that, while I appreciate pietastegoods work, its virtually useless to me since I cannot name all the tracks. I mean 246 unnamned tracks is a nightmare.
dc_burning_hellride.mp3 is much more practical to me than track69A.mp3
Much thanks for this, though, it was definitely cool to hear all of this.

I’ve been having a few problems converting this to m4a Nero (400kbps) using dBPowerAmp and the error it is giving me is clencoder:encodeblock. Has anyone else had any problems?.
try foobar2000
I downloaded the consolidated version from MegaUpload, and it seems every main piece is there except for one- listening to it here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eFYbf-uh1U8#t=7m49s
That part that starts right at 7:49- I listened through all the tracks in the MegaUpload pack but didn’t hear it- I’m guessing you probably just accidentally threw it out (as I hope it was in the original RapidShare upload). 🙂
Other than that though, everything looks and sounds great! Now, who wants to work with me to start tagging these? 🙂 It’ll give me an excuse to run through the campaign for the 3rd time, so why not. 😀
P.S. Also, a question- what’s with the A, B, C versions of each track? They seem to be similar, with only subtle instrumental differences.
A, B, C are alternate versions.
quite a while ago i took some time to work out a complete score album for Modern Warfare 2… i downloaded the rip somewhere, went through the whole game to find out which track belongs where, edited together what belonged together and thats it… any interest in me uploading it?
