Does anyone know why Doc Louis’ theme is only in mono and not in stereo?

I can only guess that it might’ve been to save space since Doc Louis’s Punch-Out!! is a WiiWare game. It could also have been a mistake by the original ripper. I can’t say for sure since I don’t have the WiiWare game.
