Any news of a gamerip yet?

I see one or two tracks floating around youtube

The person who released the tracks on youtube said that he already ripped it all, and is just being lazy to upload it.

I ripped it when it came out (I’m not whoever the guy on YouTube is).

This is brilliant. I really like how Meguro took very different style than in Persona games. These melancholic, strong tunes fit the mood of Shin Megami Tensei perfectly. Thank you so much for this rip. 🙂

I think it’s a mediocre soundtrack. It’s not nearly as bad as Meguro’s Persona music, it’s not grating as hell, but it’s very unremarkable. I was hoping they’d get Tsukasa Masuko to do the soundtrack, or get Kenichi Tsuchiya to emulate Tsukasa Masuko (as he did with a few of the new (or was it just one?) tracks in the PlayStation version of Shin Megami Tensei if…), since Strange Journey is supposed to be a sort of hark back to the SNES titles. Takami Asano would’ve also been preferable.

There’s no accounting for taste, though. I guess as long as people are enjoying the rip, then I know I didn’t waste my time.

I don’t think the Persona osts were all that bad, yes they are a stark change compared to his Nocturne and Digital Devil Saga style, but you learn to appreciate them. I didn’t like the P3 soundtrack when i first heard it (thanks to being used to his DDS/Nocturne style), but now it’s one of my favorites. The Persona 1 ost is probably one of his weaker ones, but it’s not horrid. I suppose you’re right though, we all have different tastes. lol.
