Carnival / Circus Music

Halloween’s coming, and for some reason that always makes me think of carnivals and circuses in an artsy, beautiful, and often scary way.

Anybody know of any game/anime music that uses this theme?

Also the gremlins rag has a kind of carnival/burlesque characteristics.

Definitely Carnival Night Zone from Sonic 3.

I suppose you could also add Gold Saucer from FFVII but that got irritatingly grating I normally just mute the sound at that part of the game now.

The town theme from Shining in the Darkness could work, Sneff’s theme from Chrono Cross, Carnival and Taben’s Peak from Lunar: EBC, Krustyland Amusement Park from the Simpsons arcade game…I suppose I could add a few more at least, but I should leave some stuff for arthurgolden to post when he gets in here(though he usually comes up with tracks I never even HEARD of, lol).

It’s a truly excellent game, one of my favourites on the Wii after the obvious choices. Held off buying it for ages because I thought it looked on the wrong side of quirky. In actual fact it has charm and style to spare. The puzzles are honed to perfection, and the music really adds to the atmosphere – just a shame that the tracks loop so early.

I actually have an hour-long carnival playlist, although some of the songs just remind me of carnivals and aren’t actually based around a carnival setting.
