I am looking for an Anime sound track that has Gregorian Chants in some of the songs. I don’t remember the name of the anime. I seen it years ago.

Gregorian chant
noun
1. the plain song or cantus firmus used in the ritual of the Roman Catholic Church.
2. a melody in this style.

Examples of Gregorian Chant:

anyone know?

From what i’ve seen of anime, there seem to be quite a few with chant-like elements in the music of a good few series. I would suggest Noir maybe? Especially the "Les Soldats" theme but i think it pops up in other places.

Can you be specific as to what particular soundtrack from that series? the name of the soundtrack or a link?

You could try Shiro Hamaguichi and Nobuo Uematsu’s soundtrack for Ah! My Goddess the Movie, as it has a number of choral pieces in it, most of which are a variation of the film’s main theme.

No problem. You can listen a sample here (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pCz2Yy1H3rw).
You can find this track on ‘The Vision of Escaflowne: Over the Sky’ soundtrack at Yoko Kanno thread.
There are more Escaflowne soundtracks, but i can’t remember at the moment if more tracks with Gregorian chants exists.

Cool, I can hear "escaflowne" being sung in the chant.

This may be the anime. I remember that the chant had a beat to it.

Do you know how many sound tracks were released for this series?

The gregorian chant with the beat is the track ‘The Vision of Escaflowne (Take 2)’, and can be found in the album ‘The Vision of Escaflowne – Lovers Only’.
There are 4 albums for The Vision of Escaflowne anime series and one for Escaflowne The Movie, and also a few Drama albums and singles.
You can find all of them on Yoko Kanno ‘Music’ Collection (Thread 44707) or at Galbadia Hotel (http://gh.ffshrine.org/).
