Well, it really is about time you started your own thread, with you outgrowing VGM Legacy and whatnot. 😉 So no, no sarcasm really. 😉
By the way, how did you manage to convert the PSX music? Did it use typical midi or a different format?
composers :Keith Power, George Spanos, Dustin Crenna.
The game was on XBOX 360 and PS3 (wich are hard to rip from what i understand) and there’s a PC version.
Maybe the songs are rippable from the PC release. Unfortunetly, I don’t have the skills to rip it by my own.
Note that I own the PC version so if you have an idea…
thanx in advance
For your question: I just used PSound. 😉 Luckily, the PC version hold the original file names – another reason why it can be practical to look at all versions!
Really? PSound didn’t just extract instruments? I’m surprised. And great to know you’re still with us. 😉
this is my request!
Alpha, can you please make a rip of this game:
Def Jam – Vendetta
It has music from varius artists and was avaible on nintendo gamecube and the playstation 2.
is that possible to make, alpha?
Thank you for a job well done!
I can’t really think of anything that could be improved for this rip. It’s easily listenable to and well polished. Good job! 🙂
Nevertheless, if you want me to take a look the PC and Xbox 360 version, you’ll need to send me download links to the images because I couldn’t find any… :-\ You can of course also upload the PC image yourself (Megaupload 500MB-1GB per file please ;)).
I would be delighted, even if OrangeC rip was great.
I didn’t even know ther were missing some tracks in his release.
It will take me some time but I’ll upload the music files, if I manage to extract them (a little help will be appreciated on the how to).
If not, you will receive the whole package, hope you won’t mind
As soon as I’m finished uploading, i’ll give you the links.
And muchas thanks for answering me and for the great job you are doing fulfilling my HDD
Great job Alpha 23
I tried to upload the images but it’s such a pain in the back that I gave you the torrentz links. Hope it’s okay for you
Here’s a torrent link for the Xbox 360 version :
http://www.torrentreactor.to/torrents/view_1016208/Dark_Sector_USA_XBOX360_iMARS.html#
And for the PC release:
http://thepiratebay.org/torrent/4799697/Dark.Sector-AVENGED.
And take your time. I’m not in a hurry.
Thanks for the effort dude.
*raises hand* http://forums.ffshrine.org/images/icons/icon10.gif
Then again I usually download more than one thing per day, and I usually don’t have time for everything right away. That’s why I might listen to something for the first time I downloaded it over a week ago.
i downloaded the republik commando rip now and say then where are the four unlooped tracks, okay?
Didn???t downloaded it yet.
Dark sector should use xma.
Curious but what editing does need to be done with the xma headers?
Also THANKS for telling me about the time difference. But to be honest, I don’t understand what you mean… Is it just the playing time of the song or also the pitch? Because if both it would be a sample rate difference. Thanks for getting back to me! =)
The song ends @ around 5:00 minutes, then there’s a 35 second gap of nothing until the next song. Like I said, no big deal :-). Thanks again alpha!!!
I will open my gate when I have finished ripping Resistance Retribution.
I am glad to be a part of this great thread and I hope I get to do many great rips.
Sorry about the Dark Sector request, Alpha23. I see it’s a little harsh.
I’ll never request nothing again. (gotta be careful, dude could send me some virus in a rise of anger).
I love your job
This is what I think.
You’re the best mein freund. muchas Danke.
I don’t know if it’s me but Megaupload says the file DS_IRD_Alpha23.exe
cannot be taken.
Am I cursed?
How long was the entire workingtime on this rip?
It’s worth it because it’s TRUE lossless.
BTW: I’ll opne my gate tonight.
Yeah, thanks really much for this, alpha!
dankesch???n! 😉
Since no one make a request, i make one!
My request is Turok Evolution!
Now the music is really awesome and has cool action music espessialy for the flight levels.
It was realesed on Xbox, PS2, Gamecube, Pc and the Gameboy Advance in 2002.
Since not a really good rip or something or a soundtrack existed, i love to hear this music and i believe so much others too.
here???s a example:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DeFl2RwmUDc&feature=related
(quality is really bad because it???s youtube)
so what do you think?
The soundtrack on the forum is incomplete.
thanks dude.
BTW the megaupload link to Dark sector is fixed, taking it right now.
Good job for this one.
For Battlefield that’s sadly true since they cancelled the PC version. No prob though.
– Star Wars Battlefront: Elite Squadron –
Downloaded the image and found straight forward Atrac3 with all the videos. There are a lot of tracks but this rip should be quite straight forward…
Long speak short term, we have an

awesome thanks for this one alpha! cool as always!
Seems that Toruk Evolution is a really big fish, ha?
But i know you make always a really good job on this ripping, so i can wait for this rip since
this crappy Game Archives has been cracked.
Nobody will blame you, guy.
Just what type of format is used in Bad Company? I’ll be looking for infos on the net.
With Indiana Jones and Turok, you already have your hands full.
– Battlefield Bad Company and Turok: Evolution –
No progression on either one. Still need assistance with the game archives. Sorry. :-\
– LEGO Indiana Jones 2 –
Currently downloading the PC version. Finished downloading Wii, XBox 360 and PSP.
Wii has headerless Wii ADPCM (will need assistance) but at least all the videos are easily accessible.
XBox 360 seems to have XMA2, which is currently unconvertible, but I’ll have the files checked. Would be a pity – 1.3GB of compressed music sounds quite promising. =)
PSP has only mono AT3s which also means that I can’t convert the files myself as I don’t have a PSP so I’ll have to ask Barnaby for help. 😉
The videos from the PSP version have a strange FMV format I’ve never seen before but maybe someone on Xentax can give some assistance. 😉
– General –
Well seems as if progression has pretty much stagnated due to those format problems. :-\
But don’t blame it on me – if I would have done the research without requests and then sometime released the rips noone would witness the whole progress.
Here at the IRD you’re right at the source! =)
Does your xma2 file have a header or is it headerless, could be multichannel.
– Star Wars Battlefront: Elite Squadron –
Converted the Atrac 3 and looped all but two or three files. Just have to convert the videos now.
Extraction script was corrected another time by Luigi. =) Will try the new script on the files today or tomorrow. The extraction process alone will take pretty much time as the music files are scattered within the whole game structure. Still not sure if the format is maybe XMA2. If so, the files will be unconvertable.
Let’s hope not.
– Star Wars Battlefront: Elite Squadron –
This rip seems to take me ages even though it is straightforward. I have been busy lately so I have only just got round to tagging it. Should be done soon, I think…
And have a good time at the concert!
Rammstein – Links 2 3 4!!!
You can only request rips when either of the two gates are open.
So, how’s Elite Squadron coming along?
Will upload a few more parts tomorrow.
It’s 250mb split archive.
Thanks so much for this hard work!
I tried it myself long time ago with the gamerip and i know this was really hard work!
Will upload a few more parts tomorrow.
It’s 250mb split archive.
Cool.
I have the game now. There’s nothing particularly new with the in-level music but most of the cutscene stuff is new. Is the Cutscene music stored as separate ala The Force Unleashed (Where cutscene music and cutscene SFX/voices are all stored separate)?
It’s uploaded now. Just waiting for Alpha to make sure it is all in order;)
Last one for this year! 😉 Finally finished this really enjoyable soundtrack. After a thorough analysis, I found out that the PC version was completely redundant, so this Compilation Soundtrack is a comparison between the PX2 and XBox version. After all, there weren’t many exclusive tracks – only three in the XBox version. All unmarked tracks except one or two are (loop) edits. The marked mixes mostly feature some intro or end part, the "Dramatic" is a complete done-by-me mix from the three XBox-exclusive tracks, which I think fit together really well. Additionally, I’v included a promo mix from Nelson Everhart’s homepage as well as the two available E3 2002 videos.
The playing order is oriented at X Spartan X 622’s soundtrack. Thanks again for your help! =)
Turok: Evolution

MEGAUPLOAD MP3 Version (151 MB) (http://www.megaupload.com/?d=XLQ7G232)
– lossless version upon request –
Great, but I have a little problem.
Whenever I try to play the MP3’s, WMP gives me an error, "Windows can’t play this file. The file you are trying to open is not supported by WMP".
Can anyone help me?
OGG is better than MP3 so I came to the obvious conclusion.
Different-quality versions are also requestable (OGG, lossless, MP3 joint-stereo). This message goes to all downloaders and sharers:
Avoid lossy transcoding at all cost!!!
P.S.: Would be nice if you could shorten your last post a bit by removing the picture and the playlist from the quote – for the sake of clarity. =)
Could you upload an OGG version, if it’s not much to ask.
I’m gonna try and see if I can find what’s causing my current problem.
Interactive Ripping District
Try this first and post again here if the problem isunsolvable. Then I’ll upload an OGG version or maybe even lossless.
Yes, it worked this time.
No need for the OGG version now.
I must say, this rip is great, It has some songs I’ve either must have missed or were not played in-game.
Thanks for the rip Alpha!
Clicking on the picture for NHL doesn’t work.
– LEGO Indiana Jones 2 –
I’ve checkedd some songs and it seems like it was originally only recorded in stereo, the back channels are a duplicate of the front channels, only mixed with more SFX. So there’s actually no need for a multichannel rip. Instead I’ll just compare the front channels of the 360 version to the OGG tracks of the PC version. Wii is unrippable but probably has worse quality than the 360 version. Will finish the rip sometime this week.
– Battlefield: Bad Company –
For now, there’s no support for the second XMA format of the game (it has two different XMA formats). I will keep all the files and set the rip to "pending".
As soon as I get the info that a method to decode is known, I’ll finish the rip.
To prepare the next rip, I’ll just open a gate to process the downloads:
ALPHA23 GATE OPENED
Alpha23 might i request Ghost recon advanced warfighter X360, there is also a pc version but the pc version has less music then 360. i was gonna do it but i don’t have time really.
Thanks in advance.
There`s also GBA version but I definetely don`t need it (just want to save your time).
Thanks in advance!
I could not convert that as it states some of the files from the gamcube version could not be converted. I have been trying to rip this game for years now. I was just comparing the versions to see which had the best quality. So if you take it on you only need to download the PS2 version as it has the same quality as the rest but is much easier to extract. If you think it’s too much a challenge, you don’t have to take it on.
I`m glad! Without me you wouldn`t discovered this one I guess. Also do you continue ripping if you encounter any kind of encryption? If I be lucky again I will most likely request a game that had some encryption (in its PS2 version, don`t know about the rest)
and thanks in advance.
Let’s check this out
Just send me the data.hst from the ps2 version.
– Rayman 3 –
I took a closer look at the segments and realized that they don’t seem to be all mixed up like I initially thought. I’m currently sorting them into folders and will attempt to identify the songs from the line-in rip. More info soon. =)
Coolio!
P.S. cube2 works fine with daemon tools and psone’ CDs (videos and music files). at least for me…

– Star Wars Battlefront: Elite Squadron –
Hey guys sorry I haven’t been updating you or ripping as I have been very busy over Christmas and January.
Now that I’m just finding my feet again I will start looping tomorrow and hopefully get this rip done soon.
Great! Thank you for your hard work, Barnaby

Ah, I was just about to ask about that. Good news, I look forward to hearing it.
STATUS REPORT
– General –
We have a major member update. Barnaby will leave the IRD as his time is too limited to take requests himself. However he will contribute as a provider for PMF video conversions (PSP).
– Star Wars: Elite Squadron (PSP) –
Will take Barnaby’s request.
– Ghost Recon: Advanced Warfighter –
I’ll shortly down-queue GRAW 360 for SW:ES. I currently can’t rip the PS2 and XBox version of GRAW: XBox has a changed Ubisoft XBox ADPCM codec, the PS2 version has PS2 ADPCM with variable interleave, which isn’t supported by any tool at this time.
– Need for Speed: Porsche Unleashed –
Both rips are finished and will be uploaded tonight. =)
BTW, the videos from the PSX version were the same as those from the PC version, only mono.
– Rayman 3 –
Will be ripped by Barnaby outside the IRD, so stay tuned.
hello alpha cant wait for graw 360, nice tations :D.
Thanks
Hope you write a little review about the rip 😉
Alpha, the reason I asked for KOTT 2 was because the link that can be found in this website is dead, so I thought maybe you can help me and rip it , any chance ? thanks….
As soon as the gate is open again, you can request. Will finish GRAW and SW:BF:ES, then take a look at Battlefield: Bad Company (which seems to be rippable now).
EDIT: The movies cut out a bit early…
ahh… it’s working in Windows Media Player, so I can record what I need to into GoldWave, or open it in Audacity and re-output it into WAV.
– Battlefield: Bad Company –
As the format has finally been cracked, I can take a look at this again. Still have the image, will need to extract it again. I’m curious what I’ll find now. 😉
good news! radio surf is great, good luck with this rip 🙂
Some time has passed and I’m pretty busy with my diploma right now, so progressions will be slow till end of April. Just to warn you.
– Ghost Recon: Advancedd Warfighter –
As already confirmed by Kataah, this rip is extremely time consuming because the segments don’t follow any sane pattern. I’ll have to guess which one belongs where. I’ve decided to rip this game in the background and open a gate again. OrangeC is ok with this. Will need at least two more months for the rip.

Sounds good to me alpha 🙂
I know graw will be a great rip of yours once it gets done. 😀
Ah, Adobe Soundbooth got rid of that.
Not sure if it is possible for you to rip, but I wanted to request content from the new Resident Evil 5 DLC… songs from "Lost in Nightmares", "Desperate Escape", and "Mercenaries Reunion"…
I know JBTND already got his request in, but I wanted to inquire if it was possible for you to do so (computer application tools-wise, I mean).
Thanks.
Edit: I read one of your stipulations from the first post that you only take "western" composers… not sure if my request meets this stipulation… but I guess I’ll let you be the judge of that.

Check this Thread,it has LIN & DE.
I was already aware of this rip, but I wanted to see if Alpha could do a better quality and looping rip than what the other one.
Any chance of a full Star Wars: Bounty Hunter rip?
Thanks again and keep up the good work
That’s great new. I’m excited about this one.:D
Finally finished! This took me so long because the score had plenty of duplicates I had to search and delete, which was extremely tedious. Especially for the movie sequences, which sometimes fade into the middle of some track. But in the end I found three tracks that were apparently cutscene-exclusives.
I decided to split the rip in two parts: The Expanded XBox 360 Score and the Radio Stations. I didn’t leave the single stations in whole but split them to search through tracks. You’ll need a gapless player (like Winamp) for them.
Once again, this should be the most complete rip out there. =)
These are the bonus tracks I ripped, edited and included:
intro music without SFX (edited from the Credits)
two unused tracks from the official soundtrack
an early demo cue from the teaser trailer
five other trailers
"Runnin’ Wild" by Airborne (the song from the ‘Run Wild’ trailer)

ENJOY!
Holy crap, you just made my day with this rip!!!
Thanks for Bad Company! It’s got great music.
I was wondering, why is it that 80% of your mp3s are 24khz? Either the ones on Xbox are that poor, or the PS3 version is a lot better. I know for a fact that all the music in the PS3 version sounds great on my standard TV.
I know for a fact, Bad Company 2 is at 48khz. I’m sure this game is also.
I second this.
Thank you so much :D. The combat soundtrack’s the best in the game. I hope you’ll be able to come up with something 😀
how about mp3 (not mp3Pro) with 320kbps bitrate?
OGG VBR 500 is good, but not all mp3 players support this format)
Just say thanks to the man for the hard work.
Thanks a lot mate. I really appreciate this rip, the time spent on it (along with the others rips).
And the great music I’m about to listen.:)

qft
Listening to the country radio while slavering at work. Just great.
Almost feeling like singing "Working on a Railroad".
Muchas arigato dude 🙂
And btw, if people want mp3 instead of mp3 pro, use a converter like DB poweramp or any software like Adobe Audition and convert in mp3 yourself.
Oh, and (JBTND), Thanks for the link you sent me , I am grateful.
Thanks again guys….. (^_^)
I have noticed none. I haven’t heard the whole soundtrack yet.
I’ll let you know if I find something worth mentioning on your rip.
But until now, there’s nothing to say.
And the transcoding hint wasn’t for you (I know you have your own ways), it was for the guys who like to have it easy.
I’m a jerk with computers and still I can convert songs. So everybody can.:)
Thanks :). The combat tracks are the best and I can’t wait for your rip 😀

Mind that you’ll maybe need to adjust the interleave for MUA2. The script has some problems with the last block but the music is playable. Of course it’s not stae-of-the-art coding and it’s extremely slow but it works… Remember to put a 0x00077777777777777777777777777777 at the end of the files for MFAudio.
Thx timo it worked.
Edit: I love this ambient track you ripped. I’m not sure how I can isolate the music from the ambient noise but for me, I probably wouldn’t mind because the music will probably drown out the ambient noises out.
Edit: Sorry if I mentioned that about the combat tracks like 3 times lol.
Funny, but I noticed that you have double! (or it’s just a coincidense?) =) track39 = track06 and so in this case we know who is the composer of track39 😉 track37 sounds like it was composed by Crispin Hands and I’m pretty sure track41 is by Saki Kaskas. But anyways it’s only my guess)) As for my review – you’re welcome! 😉
Sorry my bad. I didn’t realize it. I did forget where some of them played though lol.
Apart from the playing order, the rip is finished! Thanks 😀
Edit: Oh, and what’s the password, heh heh.
Edit 2: Never mind. Looked at the first post 😛
Thank you pal.
A more definitive edition of Soules music rip would great, as the 20 min rip thats floating around is a little sparse…
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Darksiders
Has some epic orchestral music. Game was awesome also.
Not sure about ripping from the PS3. 360 version might be good.
Is this format lossy? If not, do you think you’d be able to up a FLAC verison? This game never got a cd release.
Custom Soundtracks sounds good. Maybe add unofficial at the end so its not to misleading.
Its amazing how much they left out of the OST.
Just a side note, 158 – Music_Combat_Heavy_06 ~ mix.mp3 is "Chaos Eater" just with a intro and a different ending.
178 – Music_Action_09_Main.mp3 is "Keeping Pace"
?
I can help you name the John Williams Tracks (I think) but I’d have to have the whole thing.
Thanks for the great rips Alpha. Can someone help me with getting the right audio codec for Battlefront: Elite Squadron.
Thank You
Thanks you!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 😀
Thanks you, but.. I don’t listen SW Bounty Hunter by decompress’s errors.. I use Winrar, likely is it the cause. T_T
7zip works just fine on linux :), no worries.
I’ve been looking for it so long…
Special mention for the Astral Plane theme that is simply wonderful!
I owe you one!
Question: I’ll have a request when the gates will be open, but I don’t know if the music of this game was composed by a western or eastern composer (I’m French and don’t even know the difference)… how do I know this information / where can I find it? In case you know him and directly have the answer, the game is Spider-Man (2000, released on PSX, PC, N64 and DC) and I believe to remember the name of the composer was Tommy Tallarico, do you know him?

Hi, sorry to bring this up again, no love with MP3 Pro for Elite Squadron, it’s all installed properly but none of the files play in winamp. The plugin shows up in winamp though, should I be placing any file in a particular folder? Your help is appreciated.

Do you think you can up the flac version? That would be great.
I was wondering where the online loading themes where. I didn’t hear any of them only there full versions. The loading themes where variations of the full ones.
isn’t all the music in PC version in the game folder in lossless .WAV? or just part of the soundtrack?

Thanks OrangeC, this is much better than the official OST.
-> Request 3: Battlefield: Bad Company – Mikael Karlsson – platforms: PC, Xbox 360
ACCEPTED
As I said I don’t care if a game has already been ripped or not as I want to make sure no tracks are missed. And in case of OrangeC’s BF:BC2 rip – that’s only the Xbox 360 version, so there’s plenty of room for better quality or additional tracks in the PC version.
Would it be possible, if it’s not much to ask, for you to rip the loading themes of multiplayer with FX?
I’m talking about this (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Fa23Hib2-BY) and many other tracks with the radio chatter on top of them.
Also, are you interested in trying the dig again some day?
Surely it will but will this actually be ripping? Some games don`t even have their files packed (for example a folder titled "music" with RWS inside) so all your job here is to download the game, then copy and upload original files. Surely that sounds like a great favor for people like me who download games (I have ripped only 1 Xbox-360 game because ISOs 7 GBs each seem too time-consuming for me while I`m able to download one such image a month at speed up to 1MB/s) but your wish to speed things up can also lead to the following (this possible flaw applies even more to your streamed thread as I don`t know if you check out whether every source file pack is convertible with specific tools you recommend or not):
You know that HCS team which uploads
only the unedited original files
and such ripping style sometimes results in ridiculous cases when some sets uploaded months ago cannot be converted even with the latest vgmstream version! I came across a few of these myself.
Also while
original format OR TAK compressed (http://www.thbeck.de/Tak/Tak.html) wave files (whichever is smaller in size)
(all others who complained about OGG in your collaborative thread will be able to convert from lossless to any lossy format they prefer without a necessity to convert from lossy OGG –q10 to another lossy format)
no looping
(need in different number of loops of one track for different persons was expressed in DoDoRay9000`s thread too)
no segment combining
(ingame interactive cues can play in any order without loss of feel of coherent music so that you need to give people an opportunity to combine the 1st segment with 2 loops of the 5th and to end this "track" with the 7th. Your rip with segments combined according to your taste can simply lack the mentioned "track"! Or some people would even save these short cues as individual tracks and simply change playing order in their players so that they resurrect truly interactive music as it is in the game)
are OK for me I think that many casual visitors would find this too labor-intensive for them. Many folks complained about your OGG standard back in VGM legacy thread but I don`t remember many complaining about quality which includes looping, fadings, numbering and so on. Some people can say: "I asked you because I know that your rip will have looping, fadings, numbering and
quality what VGM legacy stands for
but you force me to do nearly all the work myself!"
It remains the fact that while Killy was arguing with Kataah whether converting MP3 to OGG is bad or not and editing files is needed his unedited Clive Barker`s Jericho rip was downloaded lesser times than Kataah`s edited one.
But you understood what I said about VGM Legacy and non-working programs so don`t underestimate your abilities. While I`m a little disappointed by that a tirade which took almost an hour to compose wasn`t understood
As for looping, I like to use an editor to create a reverb at the end of the cutoff point of a loop track by first smoothing the end, then adding 5 to 10 seconds of silence, then making the reverb. This creates a smoother close than having to deal with a fake dial-down fade. Of course it must work together with the structure of the loop and if there is enough musical body in the track.
So if you make a streamed rip of such game will you leave everything as it is (HCS team made its own version of Halo music rip (http://www.hcs64.com/manakoAT/vgm_db/roms.php?system=13&set=1120) and it actually resulted in 674 files) even if there`re thousands of MP3s like in HL2E2?
regarding your textfile of the tracknames for MEN OF VALOR music.sab, did you just rename the .sob textfile or did you make the list of tracks more readable, iow without all the code gibberish inbetween? I managed to use TOWAV on the archive to extract all the files, but I want to try to match up the tracks with the wavs. It is possible that they fall in the same order as the packed data. The ones that are only 5Kb in size represent the oggs, maybe.
Say, could you do a full rip of Namco Museum Battle Collection?
The Menu Themes, everything!
That would be awesome!
PLEEEEEAAAASSSSEEEE?!
If so, may I request for you to rip Syphon Filter: The Omega Strain?
Now I have a better request, but Ol’ Chap Gerbur most likely got the spot…
Thanks, Alpha23!
The game I’m looking at is Gran Turismo for the SONY PlayStation.
The game has both Western and Eastern composers after I took a quick look. Since Alpha23 said ‘Western Composers only,’ I’m only interested in the Western tunes.
Is this ok?
At least get me download links for all platforms!
Oh, sorry. No disrespect intended. I just was just trying to be meek with the request since I know it’s a lot of work, and a lot of people don’t seem to appreciate that fact.
And download links? You mean for ISOs? I’ll see what I can do.
As a matter of fact…

Thank you Alpha for this and Bad Company 2.
If there was a way for me to personally thank you, I would have done it right now.
WAIT!!
Is that Gran Turismo or Gran Turismo 2…
And yep, streamed is the way to go!
HOW DOES A CHAP PLAY THOSE BLOOMIN’ .XA FILES…or even better…CONVERT ‘EM?!!
A chap really wants to hear the fruit of the work from Ol’ AlphaTwoThree…but can’t figure out those .xa files…
GRRRRRRRRR…
thx alpha really appreciate it.
I’ll always link to the appropriate conversion program with the format in the release post.
OHHHHH…
I didn’t know that’s what that vgmstream whatchmacallit was for…
Well, after diving deep into the channels of the Search Engine ‘Bing,’ I finally struck gold…well, platinum and titanium in this case!
XA files can be converted with Foobar2000!!!
I might start to sound annoying now but if the gate is still open, can you make a streamed rip of Syphon Filter: Logan’s Shadow for the PS2 (http://www.amazon.com/Syphon-Filter-Logans-Shadow-Playstation-2/dp/B003L5AR5E)?
If you rip this, then you won’t need to rip the PSP version as they are exactly the same game.
Since I haven’t seen any gate closure, I’d like to ask you if you could rip Splinter Cell Conviction.
Thanks dude.
Alpha, you deserve an award for ripping Logan’s Shadow.
BTW, the composers for LS are JD Mayer and Azam Ali, Mr Snow wasn’t involved in this game.

Since I haven’t seen any gate closure, I’d like to ask you if you could rip Splinter Cell Conviction.
Thanks dude.
There is already a rip of Splinter Cell Conviction if you’re interested. You can find it here
Splinter Cell Music Collections (Thread 74788)
Would you mind ripping Star Wars Episode III – Revenge Of The Sith, the Game Boy Advance version?
All the music is the score from the movies, but redone for the GBA. It sounds really cool and trippy, but I can’t find it anywhere.
Thanks!

Thanks for the link, I’ll take it until Alpha’s release.
Thanks in advance!
Thanks.
Also thanks for Omega Strain, edited version will be up soon 😉
Anyway – the rip is OGG, so why are you bothering about MP3pro?
He Alpha,
Thanks Mate, I feel kinda sheepish! MP3pro was not the problem after all 🙂
Thanks again for your efforts, great compilations.
Let me know.
Thanks!
Also thanks for Prototype.

All tracks are now looped with fade-outs and are in an organised fasion. All tracks had blip at the end which I removed. Also thanks to Alpha23 for the source files.

I wish they made a new Syphon Filter.
I loved this serie
agree =)
now bring da goods 😀
A thousand thanks for this, pal![COLOR="Silver"]
*Patiently waits for the gate to be opened once more…*
Basically, I’d love a rip of The Lord Of The Rings – The Two Towers (), specifically the GameCube version. Like most movie-based games, it includes a lot of the music from the actual films, and in this particular game, the arrangements are extremely fantastic! I recently played through the game, so I’d like to have all the music 😀
Whoo, thanks! (BTW, what’s wrong with the game being from EA?)
———- Post added at 12:39 AM ———- Previous post was at 12:38 AM ———-
Yeah sure, I’ll download it ant take a look. =)
Oh thanks!
-GameCube version files don’t play
-Xbox version is finished, okay quality
-PS2 version has better quality than Xbox
Hmm… well, judging by your past efforts, I’ve no doubt that you’ll be able to get the best out of all 3 platforms. In any case, I’m glad everything seems to be going smoothly 😀
However, I can’t actually play the files, seeing as how I’m not as intelligent as you are as far as this kind of music ripping goes. How exactly do I use these files?
The weird thing is, when I remove the vgmstream plug-in, everything’s fine. Any help?
What about in Vista, though?
I’ve been loving the rip so far (thanks!), but is there any way to convert these files into standard file formats (i.e., mp3)? Having them as .mib/.genh files is pretty limiting. I dislike Winamp as a player, so I’d would love to be able hear them on a differfent media player…
On a releated note, whenever I try to convert the files in Winamp itself, (http://blog.winamp.com/2009/11/06/how-to-convert-to-mp3/) I get a "Cannot Find Decoder" error message. Any help with that?
Hope I won’t miss the next door opening, I haven’t requested by myself yet…

I’m not expecting a rip from you, just wondering if you can take a peek at the game since the rips I’ve found are either in bad quality or the links are dead.
Also, good luck with ODST, the in-game music sounds better than the OST, hopefully you’ll be able to rip it.

Re: BALDURS GATE: DARK ALLIANCE PS2: Go for it!
But there were some levels that had continuously the same music (and levels that started with action, so always "dynamic")
Oops, didn’t see you had edited your post…
Thanks! The cues will certainly be short but I’ll still can play in repeatedly to make them longer…
If you have the image here, the extracted "snd!raw" files are headerless Xbox ADPCM 44kHz stereo files. You can add a header with my QuickBMS script here: XeNTaX • View topic – My quickBMS scripts (http://forum.xentax.com/viewtopic.php?f=13&t=4450&p=42405#p42405)
Hope I could help! =)
But to be honest, why should I delete a downloaded image file and not rip it? 😉
Well, I was just asking if the game could be ripped in HQ since, like I’ve said before, the rips I found are very bad.
So, if this isn’t too much to can, may you rip H2 if the gate is still open?
Thank you.
Has anyone done a stream rip of GEARS OF WAR 2 xbox360 yet? If not, it seems the Unreal 3 Engine packaging system has been cracked and those pesky .xxx files are extractable. I just finished the game and the score is amazingly epic with a nice balance of ambient to action tracks that the commercial ost kindof fails to do.

PS: I fucking love you for the rest of Halo 2.

Thanks to Alpha’s ripping skills and some patience, I’ve been able to mix all the segments into full length tracks from the streamed rip Alpha did.

Yeah, exporting as MP3 is quicker for me than it is for OGG.
Well, this GBC game out in 2002, so maybe this time it’ll work out. The game in question is Dragon Ball Z – Legendary Super Warriors. This is one of my favorite games ever, and I’d love a good rip of it’s audio, especially if you can do it 😀
Actually, if you’re able to get the .GBS files from DBZ LSW, I think I’ll be able to play ’em, ’cause Audio Overload is amazing.

Uhm, guess you forgot my rules… :-\
Well, I was aware of it, but the rule also says "If the composer is unknown, I won’t rip the game." I took that to mean that if I requested a game AND I didn’t know who the composer was, you wouldn’t rip it. But I guess I was wrong. (Although I will say, I do indeed know who composed the music for the game I requested, if that helps any).
I’m curious, though: Why do have that rule in the 1st place?
Really? That’s it? Wow.
Even if not, I still wish you all the best, you’ve already been precious to me for several rips I couldn’t find anywhere else 😉
I’ve got a game I’d like you to rip. Can you do Spyro: Year Of The Dragon? It’s a PS1 game. Thanks!
Thanks in advance mate 😀
I can’t seem to figure our how it works.
Well, whenever I convert a raw file it always autoname the track as "dump.wav", but the thing is, I want the track name to be like in the original file.
Perhaps I should explain my situation.
I’ve installed winamp multiple times, but vgmstream doesn’t seem to work or at the very least show up in the plugins menu, so I gave up and instead used test.exe, thing is, in the instructions, it doesn’t say how to properly use the application.
— test.exe —
Usage: ./test [-o outfile.wav] [-l loop count]
[-f fade time] [-d fade delay] [-ipcmxeE] infile
Options:
-o outfile.wav: name of output .wav file, default is dump.wav
-l loop count: loop count, default 2.0
-f fade time: fade time (seconds), default 10.0
-d fade delay: fade delay (seconds, default 0.0
-i: ignore looping information and play the whole stream once
-p: output to stdout (for piping into another program)
-P: output to stdout even if stdout is a terminal
-c: loop forever (continuously)
-m: print metadata only, don’t decode
-x: decode and print adxencd command line to encode as ADX
-g: decode and print oggenc command line to encode as OGG
-e: force end-to-end looping
-E: force end-to-end looping even if file has real loop points
-r outfile2.wav: output a second time after resetting
Typical usage would be:
test -o happy.wav happy.adx
to decode happy.adx to happy.wav.
This is taken for the Readme file, and I can’t for the life of me figure this out.
Nope, I drop invgmstream.dll into the plugins directory like the instructions say but If I drag and drop a raw file into winamp, it doesn’t play it.
Edit: just notcied them in with the download. thanks again
Test.exe is the converter, mates!
What you do is take a music file from a game you want to play/convert (I used RAW files from Sonic & SEGA Allstars Racing), and drag the file over the test.exe icon. Heed this mates: you can only convert ONE file at a time.
Wherever directory the music file was from natively–say, your My Music folder–test.exe will create a WAV file of the file and place it there, under the name ‘dump.wav’.
Just rename dump.wav to the file’s original name, and BAM, you have a file ready for conversion for other formats!
How ’bout that, eh!

Any streamed rip you have released (XMA, SS2, XBA, etc.)
I’m going to do some experimentation today, see if I can get the commands for test.exe to work.

Sorry for the late response, for some reason I was not sent an email, and had you not started a thread with this I wouldn’t have seen!
Anyway Thank you very much for doing this I am very grateful.
About the other parts, I realise you probably are busy and so am not too bothered about VeitNam and Global Storm as I am with Desert Storm I & II, so obviously next in priority would be Desert Storm II if you ever have time.
Thanks again, I replied on the started thread btw if you want to reply there or here I will make sure I check.

Well you need to use towav for XMA nad XBA.
I have finally figured how to use in_vgmstream, turns out, I didn’t have to put all the dlls together in the winamp plugins folder, in_vgmstream.dll was the only that had to be put in the plugins directory while the rest had to be put in C:\Windows (W7 over here).
Thanks to those who tried to help me solve this little shenanigan, also, thank you Alpha for these wonderful rips.

Anyone else getting a little annoyed by this forum error.

Holy crap, I posted the 666th post in this thread.
EDIT #3
Since I’ve finally figured how vgmstream works, I will be working on two soundtracks Alpha released: Syphon Filter: Logan’s Shadow and Syphon Filter Dark Mirror.
Now, if could someone tell me how to get rid of those annoying skips I get whenever I use the disk writer plugin then that would be wonderful and it would speed up the process.
Uploaded already on 2010-11-07, but forgot to post here 😉 Be sure to watch the threads with "[Alpha23’s streamed VGM thread]" in their title inside the main download section!

or at the very least tell me how you ripped the music because my brain hurts from downloading various programs, using both the gamecube and xbox versions
and only getting wav and or dds banner pics from the game.
im pretty sure music.pak is where the songs are but i cant look into the file without errors and or a bunch of 669 invalid format file types.
greatly appreciate it

Huge score, that’s all I have to say.
Has some great remixes of the OST (Yes there is an Original Soundtrack) as well as incorporating a couple of old favorites from Omega Strain, a nice blend of orchestrated work with an electronic touch to it. Great score which probably surpasses the bar set in SF2 and as far as SF1 (IMHO, this is better than any of the soundtracks for Halo, except for maybe H2).

Another huge score for a great series.
This time, the soundtrack for Logan’s Shadow does not feature much orchestrated work, instead, it features a lot of electronic-esque work with a middle-eastern touch to it, as well as some vocals thrown into the mix.
Not many remixes from any of the older games, this time, it’s all original.
Also – I know it’s an older one but I got your rip of X-Men Legends 2; very nice quality work! Enjoying it a lot.
I had this program some time ago. and I must say it didn’t work both on vista and win7. but I used russian version of the game, so maybe this was a problem?
Alpha23, thank you so much!
So thank you for your time into looking into the matrix because its a great score but like you said hard as hell 😀
and i still can’t find the elusive music extractor before.
– The Matrix: Path of Neo –
Ok, I know now why OrangeC requested this one. Because it’s hell to rip…
Downloaded all three platforms, started with the PS2 version. First of all, it’s segmented but not too badly, just an intro, various outros and the rest is the track. The main problem is that the segments are inside *.wad containers. These containers have – at least for the music – no information about offset and sizes, so I need a scanner, which I’ve begun to code. Basically all the segments are saved one after another and as they are all 44kHz stereo, the identifier is some "0x020044ac", before that is just the stream size. But it’s actually not the file size inside the container. Problem as often is the last block, which ends with a stop marker (0x00077777…) but has the last block filled with zeros to 0x6000 (the interleave). So that’s "stream size = actual file size – two filler blocks". Calculating the real file size out of that is possible but would require some search routine after the stop marker to get the size of the zero filler block. I did a work-around by just searching for that ch/freq combination to get the tracks. Basically they play fine but the vgmstream plugin can only process complete last blocks, so there’s a gap (resulting of course from the zero filler block) and the segments, placed in a playlist won’t play fluently. So I’ll need to code something to deinterleave each segment, delete the zero block at the end and re-interleave it. For this I use the channel size as interleave (so the channels are just saved after each other).
BTW (if you’re interested): The reason why not all PS2 ADPCM tracks are saved this way is simply because one block (2 x interleave) has to be buffered into the memory before sending it to the sound processing unit. Saving the tracks with the above mehod would of course mean that you’ll need to load the whole track into the memory prior to play it. Given that PS2 ADPCM has a compression ratio of 1:4 (one fourth of uncompressed PCM), the files can be quite big as I’ve just experienced in my Twisted Metal: Black rip. Some of the tracks are above 20 MB and it’s out of the question to load a whole track into the memory (during gameplay that is).
Ok, who understood what I was saying? 😉 Because if nobody did, I can as well leave such information out.
Yes, I can understand myself because I ripped Matrix Path of Neo myself some time ago. If it helps there is a PC Music extractor but you will not get all of the music with it – mainly, you will not get some of the cue endings right and we cannot yet (still) extract the cutscene music from the PC version. If it helps though, set the interleave for the NSGLOB~1.WAD file in Cube Media Player as 24576 (I think you’d have to convert that number to hex if you’re using MFAudio). Also as you must know by now, each cue is in bits, and it is a pain to figure out which order it goes in but if you need me to send you the Path of Neo PC music extractor I can do. I also fixed a couple of the cue files myself (although some needed work last time I did this).
Lol, do you ever request a Non-Star-Wars game? 😉 I can take a look after I’ve finished The Marix: Path of Neo – which will take some time as you might have guessed already.
I was the one who requested Terminator Salvation. In any case I’m more interested in whether the Wii has anything new.
I have just one final request, would it be possible for you to take a look at Halo: CE and do a rip of it?, (that was supposed to be my original request instead of H2 (Forgot about it but I’m glad I requested H2, better than H3 and Reach combined), if you can’t/are too busy with other things, then I’ll understand.
So anyway, I’m also stopping by to thank you for the work you have done for us, listeners, without people like you and OrangeC, I don’t know how else I would get my daily dose of VGM.
K, no rush.
Yep, nice mix bro!
In return you’ll have my undying gratitude, as I’ve been trying to research how to rip sounds from this game forever and have gotten absolutely nowhere. 🙁
I’m currently in possession of the PC port of the game; if you can direct me in how to rip them myself I would be equally grateful.
Thanks for your consideration!
Thx mate.
I hope that, at least, one of them has lossless tracks unlike lossy ogg’s in PC version.
Excellent.
Seriously? 🙁 Big disappointment.
P.S. And what about Xbox 360 and PS3 versions of Kane & Lynch: Dead Men? Any chance to rip them? PC ver. has low bitrate (~128 kbps) and sampling rate (32kHZ)
In your signatur i read it???s open!
Then i have great request.
King Kong!
Since there are all links down for this great music and the awesome music is from Chance Thomas (one of my favourite composers), i ask you if you can rip the streamed files! I believe there are xma or whatever!
Thanks so much, Alphie!
Not all as Kataah`s one is still up.
Also a fresh rip isn???t bad for this great music, because what Kataah ripped was only the PC-Version. And to that time xma was not cracked.
But now in 2010 it was cracked, so now for example in the Xbox 360 there???s first better music quality and second different music mixes and additional music!
Also i need for myself the uneditet unlooped music for some reasons! Do you understand now, JBTND?
as it’s a so called streamed rip, you MUST either convert it with some special tools (which Apha23 usually provides within the package) or play/convert files through winamp/foobar2000 plugin called VGMstream. (see first page for the info)
Kane & Lynch: Dead Men (PS3+Xbox360) isn’t in the list?
1. Requesting God Of War 1-3

Requests are closed at the moment.
thanks for telling me though.
Nice 🙂
Anyway thanks for trying mate, greatly appreciated. 🙂
– The Matrix: Path of Neo –
PC/Xbox versions are finished! =) Both had exactly the same music files. For the PS2 version, I have posted on XeNTaX requesting help regarding the main WAD archive because the header differs from the one of the other platforms and I have no idea how to get to the files. Maybe I’ll have to use a workaround but after all, it seems quite possible to get the files. Oh and, none of them has any names given.
– Star Wars: The Force Unleashed II –
Currently renaming the PC version files. All files only have a file ID as name, the real names are inside a huge 8 MB XML file, so I have to search for the IDs which obviously takes quite some time. Have downloaded the other platforms but not looked at them yet. I hope that they have the same file IDs, otherwise I’d have to do the renaming several times…
– Kane & Lynch: Dead Men –
Downloaded the PC, Xbox 360 and PS3 version. Currently trying to get hold of the structure (PC version for now). The header information is saved externally and with no clear pattern, the music files are saved among the other sound of the single levels. This might be quite hard to rip but I’ doing my best.
– Peter Jackson’s King Kong –
Downloaded all platforms (yeah, SIX of ’em!), already finished the PSP version. The others shouldn’t be too hard either but of course I have to give the older requests the higher priority.
According to kataah dead men uses multichannel pcm with variable sample rates.

I downloaded your Max Payne 2 rips and came across an .ads file. I managed to extract the audio using the tools you posted but i was wondering if it’s possible to extract the video stream of it as well; or if not possible, then atleast to be able to play the video. Or does that file only have an audio stream and no video stream?
thanks.
P.S. You’ve done a great job!
/edit Some of them can’t be played/opened in Audition even though they’re mp3. Hmm..
/edit
Okay, I was able to extract them using MusicPlayerEx, but that doesn’t give them any names. At least I have them now. 🙂
/edit 3
Horray, MusicPlayerEx cuts off sound information off the tail end of the SFX just like it did for Dawn of War 2. 70% of the sounds are useless.
Music is in here, too.
Combat sound effects and such are definitely contained in the various .oppc files (I think these are different for console versions of this game). I’m pretty sure the files contain mp3’s, like the fmod files, but they might still be fmod formatted.
I dunno, I’m not experienced in this. I tried, though. 🙁
I can’t even imagine how hard was to rip it, but from other hand you’ve gotten a huge bunch of experience! 😉
Did you use that Path of Neo music extractor at all or did you go it alone for this one?
No further progress so far, still stuck on the file structure.
🙁
Is the file information saved that way on all platforms?
kataah has told me of a little work around before.
Open it in an audio editor as raw pcm, save as a wave pcm and it will generate a riff header in the file, supply a channel count in that header like 4-6ch and open it in a surround audio program like sound forge or audacity
I have a question regarding links – where the link is dead (the link I have tried is for X-Men Legends originally uploaded back in April ’10) do you do re-uploads? I am not sure if that would be considered a request or if requests are purely for games not yet ripped.

Hi, Alpha23, thanks very much for all the work you have put into creating these rips.
I have a question regarding links – where the link is dead (the link I have tried is for X-Men Legends originally uploaded back in April ’10) do you do re-uploads? I am not sure if that would be considered a request or if requests are purely for games not yet ripped.
Pete
Thanks, I will keep that rip in my wanted list – I have about 30 games that I haven’t found yet, I will start the search with the first five titles in the Request thread.
Pete
Well, at least the ones I’ve checked.
Well, that’s the thing, some of your streamed rips are gone.
I wanted to redownload the SF: Dark Mirror rip (not the dynamic one) and it’s gone as well as SF: Logan’s Shadow, BF: Bad Company 2 and a bunch of other links I clicked randomly to see if everything was dead, which is.
But don’t worry, if you don’t have the time to re-rip them that’s ok, I have a back up plan.

James Would you be kind enough to send me a link or a zip file of the "X-Men Legends" OST that Alpha23 ripped last year? Unfortunately, I didn’t get to download it by the time he had closed the link, but I’ve been eagerly searching for this OST for some time now. Much appreciated if you could do that for me.
I’ve decided to try to rip SF: DM for the PSP and managed to found the stuff I was looking for, now I’ve tried converting these tracks into a playable .wav file, but failed miserably.
Could someone take a look at them and tell how to decode them in order to convert them into some .wav files?
P.S. Are you still working on Xbox 360 version of Kane and Lynch or is it a dead line for now? 🙂 (Hope that this question isn’t disturbing for you.)

Yeah, that one sucks bad. I’ve once taken a look on the PS2 version but couldn’t find a way to extract the main archive. Might take a look at the Wii version though. I already uploaded the PSP version some time ago, maybe it suffices for now?
I’ve been told it’s all original/released music that you can get off the Concord albums. Thanks for looking into it anyway.
Could you could look at inFamous (PS3) then? – Amon Tobin, James Dooley, Mel Wesson & Martin Tillman
you can rip it, I want it :]
Alpha hope you can help me , thank you very much for your time :]
You asked for the PC version, so I assume you already have the xbox release.

You might want to check the crack inside, comments say there’s a virus in it.

Xbox 360 version down and almost done. Just nameless XMA1 files =) And you’ll love this: the movies have a seperate music track! =)
As for Kill.Switch and Splinter Cell: Chaos Theory: I’ll upload the finished versions so you can grab these already – if that’s ok. =)
very nice. can’t wait 😀

PS3 version unrippable at the moment. Xbox 360 version was supposedly finished but some songs weren’t decoded right so I had to re-dl the image. :-\
Ok roger that, thank you for your cooperation and investigation of this matter.
You have my thanks, Alpha. Excellent rip!
Ok, waiting…

I’ll try this one. Thanks.
Now, I have a question… is there any way to convert .aax to mp3? (excuse my ignorance =P)
Get foobar2000 (http://www.foobar2000.org/), get vgmstream plugin (http://www.foobar2000.org/components/view/foo_input_vgmstream) and put it in components folder. After that aax files are playable/convertible to mp3 or any other formats.
If you’ll get a chance could you please re-upload the lossless Enhanced PC Rip?

Thank you.
Please can you do a bms script rip of SOCOM:COMBINED ASSAULT? That way you can preserve the original filenames. I wish to make a custom ost and the samples I heard from James Dooley’s compilations are damn epic.
I am battling to find the game in my country…
How about music from this game?:

What do you mean? From the files here? Just look at the header, it’s just a standard wave header.
Darksiders (re-rip & sfx)
inFamous (need to re-dl the image)
Kane & Lynch: Dead Men (Xbox 360 supplement)
Dark Sector (re-rip)
Lost Odyssey
SOCOM: Combined Assault
Forza MotorSport 4
NBA Jam: On Fire Edition
Looney Tunes: Cartoon Conductor
Soviet Strike
Thank you for accepting my request. 🙂
Can you possibly make the sound files .wav or.mp3’s? 🙂 I’d like to use the music tracks for special purposes. 🙂
Darksiders (re-rip & sfx)
I’m currently trying to get hold on the sound effects. Had to write new scripts to fasten up the procedure. Some are mono, some stereo and some are 4ch and need to be parsed. Found out that I missed one video in my last rip. Strangely there’s one video in particular, which I can’t find. Each video has an XMA file with the speech. There’s one speech file where I’m missing the video. By this time I suppose they somehow forgot to make it as a WMV video and quickly programmed it as an ingame cutscene. Note: Apart from the intro movie, all other movies aren’t pre-rendered.
inFamous
Downloaded the image again and AGAIN there are errors in the XVAG files, like last time. Something seems to be wrong with the images floating around… If someone can download some different images and see if the XVAGs are played right, it would be a great help!
Kane & Lynch: Dead Men (Xbox 360)
Looks like this version is the same as the PS3 version as it also uses uncompressed multichannel wave files. But to be sure, I’ll compare them later on.
Dark Sector
Not downloaded yet… But as I remember it isn’t that much of a fuzz, just a bunch of XMA files (wave files respectively) in FSB containers, movies are multichannel BIK.
Lost Odyssey
4 DVDs? Really? Well, downloaded the image but sorting out will take a while since the files are nameless, so I’ll have to sort out the music manually. Movies are unnamed WMV files.
SOCOM: Combined Assault
Not downloaded yet, but will do asap.
NBA Jam: On Fire Edition
Seems to use EALayer3. Haven’t had any experience with that codec yet – I’ll have to ask for help on XeNTaX.
Looney Tunes: Cartoon Conductor
Finished – will post later =)
Soviet Strike
Downloaded both Playstation and Saturn images and – surprise, surprise – I can’t find the music! Seems as if this game uses some engine-specific midi format, which means that it’s unrippable. But I’ll do some tests with PSound and some other tool to check if it’s not the Playstation *.ps format.

Why don’t you convert the source files yourself? I’m busy enough ripping all these games you know…
Is there a way I can convert them? 🙂

350 MBStraight forward rip. Sadly, no file names available. I included both XMA and OGG version because neither has worse quality but contains different frequency data. If you mix the according OGG and XMA 50:50 you’ll get a better quality version of the track. You can easily use wavewizard for this. If you need help, just post here and I’ll add a section into my guide thread.
Music is nice. =)

Alpha23 hi.
Reupload this score, please.
You’ve done a good job finding the extra music I was telling you about, and you’ve found much more than I have.
However, there’s still some (really small and not very important, but I like completion 😉 ) music missing. That’s probably because you made a selection of the files.
That’s why I’d like to see the new scripts you used. You included a SDRH scanning script in your archive, but it’s just an empty file. Did you use the upgraded scripts from your XeNTaX topic?
Thanks, and again, well done! 😀
Okay, next time then. 🙂
when do you think you’ll upload Looney Tunes: Cartoon Conductor? 🙂
Maybe I can wait a bit longer for you to try and fix them. 🙂
That is unusual. Dark Sector always was a tough nut to crack 😀
Really looking forward to your update, Alpha.
I was wondering if you could make a rip of NFL Madden 2011.
That game has a really great soundtrack. I tried to rip it myself with no success.
Thanks.

I believe it’s one game a time per person, the rules can be seen on the first page of this thread.
. . .
Alpha23, I’d like to request Alter Echo for PS2 or Xbox.
You???re right. But i believe it???s too late, because my request was the Rouge Squadron Series, means also actually three games:
– Rouge Squadron on N64 and PC
– Rouge Squadron – Rouge Leader on Gamecube
– Rouge Squadron – Rebel Strike on Gamecube
Oh, my bad

If you searched a bit you would see that Pie`s rip (http://forums.ffshrine.org/f72/my-game-rips-60802/#post1159681) (#84) as well as OrangeC`s one (http://forums.ffshrine.org/f72/orangecs-goldmine-stuff-52892/16.html#post1153367) are still up and running. You could attempt searching for it ever since you came up with this suggestion for the 1st time.
Alpha23, I’d like to request Alter Echo for PS2 or Xbox.
HCS ripped it quite some time ago for both platforms. A mirror for Xbox version can be found here (http://www.emuparadise.me/music/xbox/Alter_Echo/594) but for PS2 one which is a few times bigger you have to sign up for their tracker. Don`t know if the latter has much more tracks or simply has a different and more space-consuming codec though.
Can I request Sonic Generations 3DS? You ripped the music from the XBox360 version, but there’s some awesome music in the 3DS version too.
Still encrypted I`m afraid.
Can I request Halo: CE?
Would be nice to see anything of better quality than PC version.
Can u rip Dead rising 1’s stream files for an "Alpha23’s streamed VGM thread"?
If you bothered reading down his
REQUESTABLE GAME SOURCES AND OSTs
https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc?key=0AsilW5Z4gQMDdHRJdkpNaEdPb1loREI3bWNuNmd6N FElist you would see that it`s already ripped and probably uploaded, so the one interested just needs to request it to be posted but not ripped.
Great! Thank you for directing to this rip. HCS knows what he’s doing ofcourse, though how did you know it was done by him, since it emuparadise doesn’t seem to provide any credits to respective rippers? Also I’d be interested in comparing Xbox to PS2 rip, where did you see that rip on their site? sorry I can’t find it.
And as for 3DS games, yes indeed it’s not possible to extract the contents of the roms yet.
There was a torrent with exactly the same contents on Underground Gamer as well as HCS own tracker but since both have disappeared by now you can only trust me on this one. Reasons for removal of the UG one are uncertain for me but the latter has probably been deleted because of 30-days inactivity rule that came along with new tracker policy. So Xbox rips collection by HCS crew on Emuparadise is currently the only mirror left unless for some reason you decide to request it from HCS himself and download it from his tracker.
Also I’d be interested in comparing Xbox to PS2 rip, where did you see that rip on their site? sorry I can’t find it.
The site is available at bt.hcs64.com, torrent name is "[RQ] PS2 rips" but since there`s just one person seeding it and Alter echo set is 1.30 GB it can take you months to get it completed because HCS speed is really, really low. Surely there`s an another person who`s not even registered but has decent speed but he`s far from completing it as well (34 % currently). Don`t want to scare you off, just telling you what`s the situation. And if you decide to join anyways don`t be afraid of rules, they`re so strict just to prevent massive leeching & hit-and-run that took place in the past and to encourage newcomers at least to seed what they`ve grabbed off tracker. Some shortcomings of that are still not gotten rid of; for example HCS himself is the only one who`s seeding that PS2 rips collection while there surely were others and many of them downloading it before the rules were revisited but you see no one came back to speed file-sharing up.
BTW name of the rip in question says [PCM][OMU – SS2]. Maybe there`s a single PCM track but there`s also a possibility that bigger part of PS2 audio is lossless. Unfortunately database with track listings of every rip done by HCS is gone for good as it was wiped out by Dreamhost along with sub-domains like psf.hcs64.com, dsf.hcs64.com and others. These sub-domains dedicated to their own platform were moved but VGM DB was never restored. If it was still working you could check out how many tracks are in which format.
Oh crap, should have specified.
Original Xbox/PC version, I dislike the remastered music of CEA.
You don’t need to search for already availale downloads of rips – if I don’t already have it, I’ll rip it. 😉
Sounds good, I’d appreciate if you could rip Alter Echo for PS2 only.
can you upload the metropolis street racer OST (Dreamcast) in 320 kbps version? when you can. i’d appreciate it much
thanks in advance
If you look at the previous page in post #961 I made a request while the gate was still open.
But of course I’m not going to insist… it’s your call man.
No problem and thank you!
GATE CLOSED
You don’t need to search for already availale downloads of rips – if I don’t already have it, I’ll rip it. 😉
But the hint to my requestable rips could be vital here. =)
So which requests did you take on exactly? I’m not clear on that.
What about Wet? When will you able to upload it?
P.S. Do you remember what was the size of the archive with music files, which you have ripped? I’m asking, because you’ve uploaded 112 MB archive, but the one I saved on HDD has size of 191 MB. Just curious.
P.P.S. I have sent you a PM almost 2 moths ago. It was about DVD ripping thread that was posted few years ago by you and lately deleted. You didn’t answer to this message and to the next one too. So, I would like to know, is there a reason why you don’t answer my PMs? Or is it just forum’s glitch?
Regards.
Yep, I remember those action tracks in SOCOM 3. As far as I can remember, the layered action track always closely resembled a full mix (no loop) in the ingame level streams before it.
OK, anyway, thanks for the update.

The game was garbage, but the techno-ambient OST is great. Thanks
I don’t know, it doesn’t look half bad. I’ve also seen some people on YouTube that have fond memories of the game.
no need of Alpha to do that. you need a .Bif extractor and th PSGui utility from Spellhold studios. and the games, obviously.
what you said about The Two Towers is valid also for Baldur’s Gate?
of course, that could possibly require a re-upload, but who knows?
are other websites being targeted?
Over 250 GB down the drain and Alpha works sooo hard for some half decent soundtracks (like LOTR above…..why LOTR when there are way betr composers and muic out there worth the energy anyway…..sigh) is a SERIOUS shame…..200+ GB of time and bandwisth wasted is harsh!
P.S. btw if u could re-up RTCW rips and consider another Bill brown work for ripping (Hulk ultimate destruction destruction for xbox and ps2 by Bill Brown) it would be awesome! thx…. just my 2 cent

Something bad must have happened. Let’s hope for him he’s not having a breakdown.
This isn’t true, he was banned to give him time to think about what he was doing and hopefully change his mind about deleting all his posts, not for being rude to me.
Ahh right. Misunderstood there but yes, i doubt when his ban is up he will be back.
@ O.J Simdicks : While I do realize that he might have a problem making rational decisions, you really shouldn’t talk this way about your pal (at least I think he is your pal since you both talk on msn). How do you think he would like to see being called "not the most sanest person" if he was going to comeback?
If there are times to be careful with words, this would be one of them.
We all have bad periods.
People shouldn’t judge him upon something that is very delicate and private since we don’t know his life or what he’s going through.
