what features would you like to see on gh?

seriously, go all out. any ideas are open for consideration. can’t promise they’ll all make it but I’m super curious what you’d like to have added.

full album downloads 🙂

1) Lossless albums!

2) Movie, Films albums & scores
3) Single file downloads (freely), zipped or rared archives
4) More quality control (verified tracklists, informations, etc)
5) Frequent updates
6) One or more person dedicated to the downloadable content (fixes, updates, control, research, requests)
7) No Ads
8) More beautiful/new website

have it so that when u click on a song it is the download link (instead of going to another page and than the ”click here”.

the benefit of this is these days u can select a bunch of downloads and tell it to go. but if the pages are seperate the download managers can’t see the links. (this could also be a quicker alternative to having ”zip or rared archives” and ”full album downloads”)

allow us to add music to the website easily. with an entry page and all the data u need for the songs and covers.

have a new banner on the page that changes everytime you refresh the page. the current one is boring and unimaginative.

maybe get some people from the arts section to make a couple.

You mean Albums already zipped? Don’t they come already as a "reward" thing? EDIT: I checked the site, didn’t remember correctly, sorry :/

As far as I know, the use of download managers/accelerators with GH is not allowed. A user some time ago wrote an add-on for Download Accelerator Plus/FlashGet which supported BlueLaguna & Galbadia Hotel….. It was removed (Click here for the Thread (Thread 56142)).

Anyyway, I think it would be cool that GH starts to cover also Videogames Strategy Guides scans.

Download managers do work with GH. you just have to add each link at a time, where as if the links were on one page u could select all at once.

I can dig both of those ideas. It gives the site a little variety.

Take a page from Gamefaqs (where I get my information on games when making a txt file for my gamerips), and have the info in tabs showing general data, images, strategies etc, etc, etc… This way if there’s no tracklisting, the user can still know what exact album they are downloading.

It would be great to be able to play a song, with out switching pages. maybe have a flash player, or something, that would stream the music, and a download link under that.

allow us to see the download and page visit stats for the albums and tracks.

allow us to search the website easily by typing in a box.

allow a detailed search inluding artists, year, and other works by that artist.

this might be done by linking in with vgmdb (http://vgmdb.net/db/main.php).

allow users to add a star rating for each album. so it can create a list of best rated albums.

create a thread and ask people to go through each letter of the albums adding the music to genres. and than use the results to create a clickable list linked to GH.

should need 27 people be easy. or 13 to do 2 letters each.

If tracking the whole database is too much. Maybe you could use the page traffic details to create a top 10 most viewed albums of that week / month.

and put it on the page.

A more complete and up to date Galbadia Hotel. There are a lot of releases on there that are not the full soundtrack or have bad/missing files. Clean up would be great.

show the links to go back when going from mp3’s to album to song.

you have to press back. and if you follow a url to an album or song you cannot find a back menu.
