Jessie, you are one of a kind.
And you know i have to get it, took a liking to the music adding those loops. Thanks.
i don’t know the game but i download it.
thanks you ^^
That is if you still remember of course, after all it’s been 2 years.
And wow it is amazing that megaupload link is still alive!

If I remember correctly, I had used CubeMediaPlayer2. I had ran a playstation2 disc scan (which was really dumb to do, because it scans so slow instead of just scanning specific files) and made sure the frequency & interleave were in the correct settings.
I’m surprised the link lasted that long. I’ll have to check which other ones are still alive, and upload some other gamerips I never got to put out.
I scanned FILEDATA.BIN and it found all the ADPCM tracks, but at this rate they sound like noise.
Do you remember to what parameters frequency & interleave should be set at?
Here’s one of the extracted wav files, maybe having a look at it will help to to fix things.

I’ll give you a quick run thru from what I’ve learned and know, because sending you a completed file isn’t gonna solve the others:
1. About 90% of PS2 games all use the frequency settings of 48000. 5% is 44000 to 36000, and the other 5% is about 24000 or lower.
2. Always mess around with the three following to get the sound: Freq, Interleave, and Channels.
3. Sometimes the file won’t sound right in stereo channel (channel 2) so you’ll have to switch to mono channel (channel 1)
**FOR CMP2**
If you’re using CMP2 (cubemediaplayer2 for short) for ripping. After files are found from a scan. Right click the file you want to edit, then choose properties, and the options to modify freq, interleave & channels will appear. There’s also an option in properties to change the file format from PCM to ADPCM (CMP2 ONLY) If you happen to scan a file that becomes PCM and plays only noise, try changing the format from PCM to ADPCM. (AGAIN CMP2 ONLY)
**FOR ADPCM PLAYER**
If you’re using ADPCM Player. After files are found from scan. The options for modifying the file are on the bottom of the program. (pretty simple program)
Sorry I had to reply like this. The reason is uploading takes quite a bit to do for me, so to just reply a normal message is faster. If you do have troubles with this. Let me know. Also I’ll download the file you gave me, but it’ll take time (again my internet connection is shit).
Oh yea. If you’re gonna use any of the following programs (or any other) to rip PSX/PS2 music. I recommend you do it through CMP2 first. Even though I use ADPCM first. The properties option in CMP2 is better than ADPCM Player.
I can’t seem to get the right settings for interleave and frequency. I messed around with options (in Cube Media Player) and changed the number of channels to get the files play properly, but it still sounds distorted.
Do you know what numbers are the right ones?
