I know only the software "Cube Media Player 2"…. Never managed to make it work, though.

Isn’t it ripped from a PS2 emulator? I know theres software out their that lets you play PSx and PS2 games (never managed to get it to work) on PC, after that its a simple matter of extracting the soundtracks once you’ve identified where they are, right?

is there other ways to rip ps2 music from a ps2 game?

depends largely on the formats it is in…

just have a look at the disc and see if you can find the music files. they are either in a streamed format, which you can probably play with vgmstream (http://hcs64.com/vgmstream.html), or they are sequenced, which will be way harder to rip. There is a format for those rips called PSF2 if you want to look it up. Anything else is probably some weird stuff you cannot even rip, unless you record it from the audio output of your ps2 or come up with your own format (like, if the game uses some kind of internal softsynth), but you will very rarely see that.
